Has been in the shop since January 20th. Anyone ever been to "Dicks Racing" near Sacramento Ca. I am having the whole motor redone its an 01yz250. How much longer should it take to be fixed? I call but the guy isn't too friendly which is a deterrent. I want my baby back.

Does he know that you are tight with Bubba?

How many times have you called him?

By the way, a true Bubba fan wouldn't be caught dead on a Yamaha.

So true. Forget that Yamaha, go buy a KX 125 and slap 259 digits on that thing and hold it on !!!!

On a serious note here...........what are you having done to the motor? That would give us a better idea of exactly what's going on.

It may take a long time to change that over from an engine to a motor, it's kind of a completely different thing you know. Wink

Cheap, fast, and good: Pick any two of the three, you won't get the third one.

Never again, not even if it was free.

It took them 2 weeks to do their carb mods for my 250SX plus I got a ton of attitude when I called for a status check. "Isn't too friendly" is being quite generous. Hopefully you don't get the father/son tag team treatment like I did.

I'd have them send your motor back in whatever shape it's in and take it to a shop that appreciates your business.

I sent my ECU to Eddie Sisneros in colorado....

Then I read reviews on Thumper talk, and promptly shit my pants.

I was freaking out...

Then it showed back up two days later. Fuck balls that was FAST service.

For how long it's been there, at this point I would be getting pissed. You remember it took me a while with my RM, but that was because of the tranny and sending the cylinder off and all that crap. That cylinder should have been sent off on day one when he got it and honestly this is taking way too long. Hopefully everything is nice once you get it back though. Next hillclimb round is in April and the sportsman hill is calling your name, so get that thing back!!!!.Wink

Have you tried calling and asking when it will be done or are you just scared because he is a Dick?

Raining yellow has been a die hard Bubba fan since James was on a Yamaha PW50! That's how hard core he is and that's why he's on a Yamaha. Reconize!

Dude, Raining Yellow....it's taking way too long. Dicks is busy doing KTM stuff and your YZ is on the backburner. A month and a half to do a 2-stroke engine? You need to have James make some calls for you, bro. Or drive up there after you are done with the janitorial thing and be like "what's up fools!?!?! Where's my motor!?!?!?"

Cheers buddy.

PS: you are alright but ease up on the Pulpmx calls.

I agree with this. Are they modifying the motor or just replacing worn parts?

I'd go over there with my A-R and get MY engine back and maybe Dicks can safely remove the shaft out of their asses and be polite? Just a suggestion.

If they are having the cylinder repaired that could take a few weeks, but a couple of months no excuse. Go see them in person, demand to see your motor, if no progress has been made take your motor back. It belongs to you.

Listen buddy, he has something of yours. Pull up your pants, use your deepest voice, and tell him you want your shit back. If that doesnt work go to his shop 15mins before quitting time with a easton bat and put his face in the back of his fucking head.
