Walmart's website has the same business model as Amazon.. If people are willing to buy it, they're willing to source it Most retailers do this now. Stock the core items in the stores, but make pretty much anything people would want to buy available to them online.

That is true to a point. I haven't kept up in the last couple of years, but at one time Hayneedle handled the Walmart.com account. Then it went to CSN which changed their name to Wayfair. I think Wayfair still has it. Then Amazon pulls product from Wayfair. But Amazon is in the process of trying to sign up many of the accounts that they deal in with Wayfair.

Get this shit. My 8yr old wanted a new PS3 controller, so I checked their site to see what they cost, and told him they were $39 but he needed around $45 to cover taxes. So he goes to his room and rounds up $45 out of his spending money. We get to WalMart and the controller is $59. Upset that he didn't bring enough money, I said well I'll show the cashier the price on my phone. The guy at the register says, "We don't price match our website because we're not in competition with ourselves." Then said "But you can order it online and do site-to-store and pick it up in a couple of hours." I just laughed and told him that was the biggest crock of shit I've ever heard. I know there's a value in having it now vs waiting, I just wish their site advertised online price AND local store price. So we didn't get the controller, which worked out good because it won't work with the new PS4 I got at BESTBUY for his Christmas present.

The Ship to Store is a different company and inventory. It's really not cool that they can have stock in the store but you can't buy it for the Ship to Store price. Bizarre.

That horse is actually a goat they imported from China and slapped a horse costume on. "Live Better"....

How they treat their employees is a part of the Walmart business model that keeps from from buying there. That says alot considering I used to pick up bulk ammo from there for real cheap.

I think you can still get bikes, cars, jetskis and other vehicles through Sam's Club. I think it was Yamaha and Kawi.

Never been to a Sam's club. But if it's a huge super-duper market like Costco and Walmart....it doesn't surprise me one bit. I think it's going to become more common in the future. Which is kind of scary for the bike shops. Supply and demand could be an ugly battle that I don't want to see.

They are trying to capture amazons customers with the cheap Internet prices....not their own walk in the box customers
