RJ was a style king, however I don't think having these other cats in the photo helped to sell more gear

It was a bit before that gear. They had a whole spread of him going to a So Cal barber and getting a shave and a flat top. Would have been late 86, early 87 mxa. I went straight to the barber and got a flat top. Haha. I also noticed at the San Diego sx that year (87) that everyone had the same cut. He had quite the impact. Anyway, no worries, I'd say you've gone beyond the call of duty on these threads... Thanks.

These guys are the Simo brothers and Beaver Theodosakis, owners of Life's a beach/Bad Boy club. It was the first co-branding in MX, well before Volcom-Thor or Skullcandy-Answer etc...
I thought it was cool to see RJ serious for once and the guys behind be stupid.
