How well do you think MM25 will do on his first year as a premier class rider against guys like Dungey, Tomac, Barcia, Canard, and Roczen? As I recall, he was pretty fast on the 350 a few years back...but has he ever competed on the 450 up until now? I'm thinking his smooth, technical style might mate well with the 450 power delivery.

I'm a huge fan and hope that he gets some podiums along the way!

When Marvin and Ken were both on KTM 250s, Marvin destroyed bikes and parts at a much higher rate than Ken. The guy isn't as "smooth" as it would appear on a TV screen. He's actually closer to Barcia, albeit with less squirrel-outs.

He will be fine, he's like 5'11'' and 26 years old.

I am guessing a similar year like bagget had this year on the 450.

hard to say , people didnt expect a lot from Febvre on his rookie year on a 450 ... never impressed me on a 250 , but for some the bigger bike can be a good thing

I'm guessing that the learning curve for Musquin might not be as steep as it would be for some other guys, given the team that he's on and his considerable experience. He'll be up against some stacked fields if injuries don't claim many of the top 450 riders...should be interesting.

Top 10, maybe some top 5 finishes. This is assuming everyone is healthy which never happens.

I concur.

Possible more upside and downside.

MM has all the tools to compete in the 450s. He gets good starts, puts his bike wher it needs to be, passes effectively, understands how to maximize what he has working for a title, wont be timid if he finds himself out front. Dont be suprised if he wins a few races.

Call me what you will but I have him as a title threat indoors.

Not so much outdoors though, thinking around 5th overall, with a couple podiums and maybe a moto win. Possibly an overall at Washougal.

Is he on the 450 starting in SX this year or is it MX when he will switch?

Seems like those french guys know how to transfer the beating to the bike rather than letting their bodies absorb it.

How is his muscular build relative to Dungey's? He seems a bit skinnier but I also vaguely remember him being a little bigger than the current 250 riders. The main thing I see guys struggle with when they move up is the endurance and ability to muscle the bike around adequately.

i know for a fact that he revs the absolute crap out of the 250f . prob more than any other rider . so he ll need to change that on the 450 , So i really would nt be surprised to see him on a 350 ,if it would work with anyone it would be him

I'm thinking he will get top 5 in points in supercross. Hes a great starter and consistency will be key.

I think he can win the damn championship.

He cant afford a "learning" year. This guy's gotta come out swinging, he'll be 26 when the gate drops for his first 450 race.

Marvin only in the top 10? Really?
Come on guys, he's fresh of a 250sx title. I would consider him as a title candidate. In other words, podium guy without a doubt.

Supercross is going to be pretty stacked if all make it through the offseason healthy. But i see him getting TOP 5s on the regular, Heck he might even get podiums early on. I personaly think he'll be very good on the 450 given his riding style.

We'll get an early look at his 450 preformance in 2 weeks at the USGP @ Glen Helen. He has to ride the 450 in th GP's because he surpasses the 23 years old age rule the FIM has going on for those wondering.

I think He'll win a race or 2 in supercross. But inconsistencys will keep him out of the title hunt.

Inconsistency is definitively THE word to use when it's time to talk about Marvin's way of riding...

Saw him on a big bike today at Pala. I didn't pay enough attention to see if he was on a 350 or a 450. He looked good.
