(i know this just got posted later on in another topic, but i wanted to see what people thought of the facility)

I was just there for the top gun showdown in October, Track is no where near ready for 40 pro 450s on the gate IMO. The potential is there but it will take work.

Pretty decent facility. Hardpack base with a ton of mulch on top.

I live 30 minutes away, Hope it is true! Awesome track, I bet they will do a lot to make it perfect this winter. Maybe widen the track a bit, plenty of room. Great location. 5 minutes from airport, 10 minutes from major interstate.

The on thing I do wonder about is the road leading into the track. Its pretty narrow and has a tight turn in it. I have seen a couple RV's with trailers have a pretty hard time with makling the turn... wonder how the semi trucks will do?

Yeah, there's a turn or two on the roadways to the track, but semis have been there before. Many times. They'll be fine.

There was a semi there few weeks ago, I'm more worried about the facilities. They will have to start from scratch with bathrooms and concessions. They need to utilize some of the area in the middle and put in a few tunnels for spectators to get down there.

For all the people that are going to say that it'll be to hot or humid, it's not any worse than Red Bud or Budds Creek. I've lived in the south my whole life, and I swear Red Bud is the hottest place race I've been too, even Loretta's.

So this track in Blountville is in and Freestone is out? Cool! Both places maybe hot but it looks like the natural terrain will make it worth it. Cool

Of course they will. The whole facility will have to be brought up to spec. They will spend probably millions on it. Benefit: local racers!

DC says Mark Barnett will be doing the track work. Mark Barnett track = amazing.

Are you kidding, Sam Gannon is the biggest POS in the industry. Has no concern for anything but lining his pockets. If this is true, this is nothing to do with anything besides sucking ass. Victory Sports is the track crew at LL. Last year Victory Sports held 8 LL area qualifiers and 2 Regionals. This industry is turning into suck ass central and as posted on another thread about, moto-inside the outdoors, cares nothing about the riders or the moto community.

Stood right by the the AMA official tell a father that "his kids safety is not his concern" when the parent was concerned for stagger starting 71 65cc riders on the same track at the same time at a regional, then personally witnessed Sam Gannon defend this so-called AMA official, along with about 5 or 6 other dads. Also saw that same AMA official have to be escorted off the grounds by the police.

If this is true, this has officially broke the back of my 38 year riding career, along with my son. We will race only local races if this comes to pass.

Here I thought writing letters to MX sports and the AMA wold get rid of that POS Gammon and it has done nothing but grease his pocket book.

I was an ally to MX sports and that group at first but the more ass kissing and friendly favors for "strictly" lining their pockets and who blows who, I have come full circle and now think.

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR!!!!!
