I bought a Pit Posse lift off of ebay about five years ago. Still use it every week. Worth every penny!
I paid $140 for it shipped to my house. There are other brands on ebay as well. Not sure how good they are.

I have the Pit Posse one with casters on it and a few of the MSR stands without casters. They both work well but the casters are nice to have.

Does the one with casters seem sturdy? I've been eyeing that one for a while.

I have the MSR lift myself and love it. I took some 3/4" ply and some rubber 2" locking caster wheel and made my own roller platform. I then drilled some 1/4" holes through the bottom of the legs and fastened the sand to the platform. I made it just slightly wider then the stand itself and it works great and is super sturdy. In my little shop , moving bikes around is like musical chairs at times. I liked it so much I hand built another roller stand for my Husky too....makes things so much easier in my shop. Wish I would have done it sooner.

I own the pit posse lift stand with locking casters, I like it. It is pretty sturdy and the casters lock solid. I really feel like I should have had one of these a long time ago! It's has been about 8 months so far and no problems yet.

I think so. Have never had a bike knocked over. You can always remove the casters, one I have is bolted
