Going riding with your son.
Absolutely, that's it. I bought my son a new YZ250 for a graduation present and I've spent a lot of time chasing him around the track - it's an experience I'll never forget. I don't think I'll be able to keep up for very many more years, but I'm going to make the most of the time we have.

And we went riding at an offroad place last Wednesday and came across 3 elk - in East Texas. Who'd have thought that?

That's the greatest thing about moto. It transcends generations like no other sport that I know.

1. arriving at the track, you start unloading your bike and an aquaintance comes over and delivers a ton of excellent photos of you from the last race !

2. coming off your last practice and knowing you got it dialed and your going to have a good race day.

3. sitting on the line before the board goes sideways and a bunch of people whooping it up for you because the announcer just introduced you and gave you a blurb, you cant hear'em but you can see it.

Entering a really long, deep and gnarly inside rut with perfect body positioning, grabbing a handful and it spitting you out the other side like you were on rails.

The way that slightly anxious feeling you had driving to the track suddenly melts away as soon as you roll onto the circuit and open her up for the first time. BwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaArrrrrrrrrpppp.

Just that sense of riding a dirt bike, in all your kit. Its kinda corny, but it makes you feel so alive.

Riding my yz 125 and feeling like a kid again!! (at least for a couple of laps anyway!)
Riding any deep, rough nasty sand track
The feeling you get when you pull up in the van at lierop (i love that place)

The nervous feeling when you're sat on the gate- then the tense feeling when you nail the holeshot and have the lead on the first lap!!

Having a race long battle with someone, bangin bars then shakin hands / having a beer with them afterwards

The fact that we dress up as storm troopers and act totally normal about it.

In real life I'm pretty particular to what I wear and consider about 75% of 'fashionable' mens clothing as gay. In motocross I would wear pink and not a single fuck would be given.

the feeling you get when you ride tht nothing else matters besides blowing up berms, throwing whips, and scaring the shit out of yourself every lap around the track.

1.) Cupping my fart in my hands and smelling it after
2.) Farting in the van on a hot summer day and rolling up the windows.
I think you misread the question. Read it again, this time slower. (not that those things aren't amazing in their own right.)

I've always liked holding a hand in front of the exhaust coming out the back of the bike (which, coincidentally, is a lot like orangecrush's no.1). It feels nice.

Also, I'm terrible at bump-starting, so when I nail it I feel really proud for about 15 seconds.

Such a great feeling, there is track here in Colorado called big al, just a big table top about 100 feet or so, but the take off is so abrupt even not jumping but man, finally mustering the courage to just keep it on was the best feeling ever & since then that is my favorite jump now. But for years it had defeated me before I said screw it.

I haven't gotten to read this whole thread but mine are:
1 - knowing you can fix your bike if needed.
2 - not feeling it in practice but managing to pull it together in the race.
3 - all fear leaves once the gate drops.
