Covington will beat whoever will be picked as the MX2 rider for team USA. That will be interesting.
Mmmmmmm possible, but Tommy Searle will beat both of them , if picked for mx2 !! Stamp it!
I really hope he gets the MX2 pick and a good bike. Always rips at MXdN & at Matterly

Very possible we will not have Gasjer , Jasikonis or Bobby on the final gates. What's Tomac so worried about?.

Lithuania has a good chance, obviously they need Jasikonis to not mess up and Karka to have a good ride.
As for Russia I would be very surprised if they are left out. Mikhaylov is a good rider even if he isn't around the GP scene, but he rode AMA nationals for many years.

who's riding for slovenia?
Gajser and the Irts?
Or Jan Pancar?
I hope they make it. But it's possible that we will have several factory riders in the B-Final

It will be very interesting to see Matikainen at Matterly. For those who doesn't know who that is(i guess everyone except us Finns), he is 2nd in the Finnish MX2 championship and he has been pretty close to Haavisto at the hard pack tracks.

I guess he hasn't any ambitions to try and do a whole EMX250 season. It's a shame, the guy is fast and talented.

All right...
So Osborne goes 450 and Covington stays MX2
Seely seems pretty much confirmed as well.
That US squad is one of a bunch that have a legitimate chance to win/podium this thing.
Others are Holland, Belgium, France, UK, Switzerland, Australia, Italy...
It may turn out as the most "opened" edition in a long time !

Could you just edit the first post with all the teams and riders so we don't have to fish through multiple pages to see who's on each team?

Just a thought to make it a a bit easier.

Team Switzerland is Tonus, Seewer and Guillod

Edit: judging by the numbers, looks like Guillod may be on a 250 and Seewer on a 450. Could be interesting

Correct, Guillod is riding the 250 and Seewer the 450, which isn't so much of a shock as Jeremy has been practicing quite a bit of the 450 so far this year (in preparation for 2018)

Yeah I like that move. Seewer will have a full factory '18 450 Suzuki, and Guillod looks far more at home on a 250. Little bit of thinking outside the box can be the difference sometimes

With the broken rib Tonus suffered yesterday, Team Switzerland just took a little hit. But hopefully Tonus will be fine until the end of september.

And yes, Seewer also raced a 450 at a german MX Masters race... and won as far as I can remember.

Yes, it's a strong team, but with Guillod and Tonus likely to be out until the last 1-2 GP's it's not a perfect scenario for them by any means. Still, they are all good riders and they should record a good finish

Yeah it will be pretty interesting. Shame that injuries set this team back quite a bit.

Is that announced??

that would be a very strong team, more than capable of winning.

I have high hopes for Switzerland, guillod is fast on a 250, he beat herlings outright here a few years ago.

Yes, official. Best team picked, glad they managed to get Deano over. Really excited for the event

Yeah it's official. Would be fun to see them win at home, atleast podium. They have the talent and speed if everything clicks.

Just crossed my mind about Puerto Rico, any consideration for Charbonneau? He has got the ball rolling lately, would be faster than Weltin.

Herlings not in MX1 is ridiculous. Why wouldn't they put him in the top class? Makes no sense.

Did the same thing last year too. I wonder what there strategy is? Glen would have a much better chance in the open class.

Good point, none of those guys listed have been much competition for Eli must less beat him.

The strategy in the past was that they wanted the fittest rider in OPEN because of the back-to-back moto. Not sure if that's still the case though.

i would guess that because the MX1 rider was a bigger break, where the MX3 rider has to go back to back, you could choose to put the fitter rider as mx3,
