Sounds like someone was using a company credit card for personal purchases. Happens all the time.

Depends on how much they used it. I know a guy who got himself and the boss who lent him the card both fired for going nuts with his plastic.

I know a guy that went to jail (brig) for 3.5 years for using the company credit card. of course he spent just over $104,000.00 over the course of a year and a half. He bought everything from computers, Wheels, appliances, food on it as well as buying TV's and Computers and selling them for cash.

I agree - unless we KNOW details it is not worth even speculation. It could have been nothing, maybe an excuse, bad rumor, or bad communication. If it was bid deal we would have had details and possible johnny law involved. Lets just leave it that they have a new manager. I think they have gone through a few managers over the last few years. Steve Lamson also managed the team at one time and they let him go.

Good Luck Cobra - how many French riders are going to be on the team?

Steve still works for MotoConcepts, he is the race team manager but he still works for them, I see him all the time.

My bad about Steve - I have not seen him at the races I attended - we have a few of the same friends and I always try to say hi when I see him. Lammy is a great guy.

Actually, if the audit system in place was being accomplished correctly they would have caught him after 1 month. The number of people that were not doing their job and let him do it for that long was ludicrous. he is the only one that went to jail but IMO, there are at least 3 others that should have gone with him for not doing their monthly audit correctly.

I understand it probably isn't our business, but Ping mentioned it so it made me curious. If people wanna be so fuckin anal about what is our business or not, jump on Ping for even bringing it up.

That is a valid point. Ping opened the door for it to be peoples business to ask what happened.

The "None of our business" is an old joke from way back, people would come down on TFS and his retort would be none of your business.

TFS like Guy-b took lots of heat from the Industry over what was posted on his site.

I knew an executive chef for a major hotel chain (highend stuff where everyone dresses like a monkey with a fuzzy red hat) who used the company credit card to buy expensive cookware and machines.....then turn around and sell them to fund his cocaine habit. Bad part of all this was he did not buy one single dirt bike!

he didnt follow the american way.... he didnt steal enough to stay out of jail. Steal millions thru fraud, you get to keep it with a slap on the wrist. Steal 100k or less, and youre going to jail for a few years.

sad part is, some think im being haha or sarcastic... no, thats the truth!
