Who is your most impressive rider of the weekend?

Febvre with his total dominance?
Townley running up front?
Musquin mixing it on his 250?

Musquins first moto was amazing. Fastest lap of the day, the way he was picking up his front wheel over obstacles. Was an absolute blast to watch

Febvre was obviously impressive but not really too much of a surprise with the year he's been having so I'll go with Townley. The fact that the guy is semi-retired and kept right on the world champ the whole moto at his home race was amazing.

Was also impressed with Barcia's effort in that final moto!

If you don't say Ben Townley you should be kicked off of Vital MX. It's not even close in my eyes BT just won the MxDN over France and USA!

Townley... because of the circumstances coming in. Namely being retired for a few years and everything that goes with that. No one predicted a performance like that, absolutely no one! Pretty hard to believe.

Of the rest; Barcia would be my next choice. He always seemed to be coming through the pack, making progress.

Under normal circumstances I would say Febvre, but its Townley by far.

if you are old enough to know who BT is and know what kind of heart he has pumping in his body and know how many times and how badly he has been injured and retired and come back - I think any one would have expected maybe a good start but then most everybody would have thought dnf one moto or fade back to 12th, something like that, but to see him today, wow !

very impressive ride from townley- didn't fade either! not bad for a semi retired rider that's had a hell of a lot of terrible injuries when he was racing full time. Shows just how talented he is

was hoping he would have a good weekend. Big ken rode great too, to say he's been off the bike for so long and was pretty much coming off the couch!

febvre did what I expected- total domination! perfect end to a great year for him. This kid is something special.

Marvin rode great, shame he stacked it in that first race, was wanting the battle with Barcia to continue.

Both cooper webb, and Barcia were very good- 100% effort, didn't quite get the win but impressive all the same

paulin was a big disappointment ( I know, he was on the winning team) - never really looked like challenging for race wins. He's just not as good on that Honda! after some great ride at past des nations events, he didn't look that good at all today. Lucky marvin and febvre had such a good day! he must have been scratching his head when marvin caught, past and gapped him on a 250f!

Townley for sure ......... who could have expected this performance ??

I think Marvin was the most impressive rider this weekend. The guy had some badass lines and was just hauling.

If name some of "unfamiliar" riders, then Rauchenecker from Austria was running good and steady laps in mx2. Was frustrating to watch (for estonians at least... Smile .

Musquin put in an amazing ride.

Febvre dominated, as all champions should do, especially at home.

But my vote goes to Townley by far! IMO only because no one saw it coming, that was really impressive! and it wasnt just one freak moto.

Musquin for his first moto and the passes he made in the second one.
Febvre for his domination.
And Webb who was absolutly flying before he stalled in the last race.

All were freakin' A M A Z I N G... Some of the finest racing I have seen in years, regardless who was missing.

Webb, MM, Barcia, Febvre...

Gotta give it to Townley. To turn it up like that was simply stunning. A real "Blast from the Past".

Febvre is NOT surprising. He did what many expected but man, what a season for him!!! GP's next yr. should be good is AC comes out healthy and swinging.

Townley was crazy impressive yes?

Even as an American I felt a lot of pride watching Musquin rip it up. Home country pride...riding for his hurt brother. He was on a mission. Different guy than we saw in the Nationals.

Barcia did himself proud and rode great.

BT/MM25/JB/Febvre were all great. Webb was really solid. You wanted him to try and string together a tiny bit more in Moto 3, but he still turned in a performance.

Barcia was really fast and won his class, and Febvre went 1-1, and you can't do better than that. They were the cream of the crop for me, and would be legit contenders in any series.

But it was Tanel Leok and Ben Townley who put in the pound for pound best rides.

Townley rolled back the years and kept pace with some of the fastest guys in the world, and Leok got a 6th overall in his class, in his 15th straight Nations event.

Two amazing rides from the veterans, with Townley's the most impressive.
