They're not screwing around with these clowns anymore. The mayor and city council are on the warpath for these guys. They admit that it's hard to catch them, but when they do....

I'd say most of those bikes are stolen.

Was it NYC that ran a dozer over several bikes and quads a year or so ago and crushed them instead of police auction?

Saw it with my own eyes this summer - Upper West Side, Manhattan. Right down the middle of Broadway past the Lincoln Centre on the back wheel. I was waiting on them getting nailed by a truck when they jumped the red light. No helmets, nothing, and despite the fact that there seems to be a policeman on every corner, nobody following.

Also went over to Brooklyn on the ferry last summer. The route goes past the port, and you can see the police impound lot. It was full of bikes, but this was pre-bulldozer event.....

For the most part they do, and I've seen a few riders peeled off the streets recently. Unfortunately they are a hazard to the children and pedestrians who they are sharing the sidewalks with, when the main thoroughfare isn't the fastest way to get where they are going.

Yeah they can't be going up on sidewalks, running lights etc.

I do do agree that it's an outlet, just like it is for us, that shouldn't be barred but encouraged to be a positive influence.

Just youtubed what the wheelie boyz are....How in the hell did they get that good at riding wheelies? I'm kinda impressed lol. There are probably pro riders that don't have that good of bike balance. I've been riding for 20 years and can't come close to keeping her on one wheel like that. These guys need to steal some trials bikes and give that a go haha.

Chalk it up to they do not practice turns, braking bumps, acceleration bumps, any kind of jump, etc. etc. All they do is wheelie
