Might have skipped over it somewhere...but what's the reason he was wearing seven over there? I figured he would be in all of team stuff.

I have no idea. Maybe some kind of "contract " thing but he is showing how to earn a ride. He may not be the fastest but is getting it done

He already had this deal in place before signing with Geico so they let him run the race with his seven gear deal / graphics

They let another rider skip the team gear deal to make up for the low salary they'd be paying once before per Steve Matthes mouth.

He's already posted pics wearing Alias Gear. There is a lot more going on behind the scenes with Alias and Geico then most know. I believe Grondhal and Ziggy own Alias now.. the owners of Geico Honda.

I thought I had remembered seeing Malcolm post a pic of him wearing the geico set up on Instagram. But it's not there. I know grondhal is owner (or part owner) of alias that's why I was confused as to why Malcolm was wearing seven this weekend.
