AMA Supercross Class Stats: Phoenix
The first race held in Phoenix was on March 16, 1991, and Jean-Michael Bayle won aboard a Honda.

No other races would be held in Phoenix until 1999.

This will be the 13th time the gate will drop for an AMA Supercross class race In Phoenix.

Ezra Lusk won his last AMA Supercross class race in Phoenix on a Kawasaki in 2003.

James Stewart is the only rider to win Phoenix in AMA Supercross and AMA Supercross Lites classes.

James Stewart earned his 37th AMA Supercross class race.

In his second career AMA Supercross class start, Ryan Dungey finished second. He was also second at Minneapolis in 2008.

After a long layoff from AMA Supercross class racing due to health issues, Grant Langston finished 10th.

On January 13, 1996 in Orlando Florida, Kevin Windham made his first ever AMA Supercross start. He finished seventh. 14 years later, he was lining up for his 153rd career AMA Supercross class start and finished third.

Chad Reed has 119 careers starts. Only three times he finished outside of the top 10, including 19th at Anaheim on Saturday night.

On February 9, 1980, Mike Bell kicked off the ‘80s by winning the first race of the year on a Yamaha.

On January 27, 1990, Damon Bradshaw kicked off the ‘90s by winning the first race of the year on a Yamaha.

On January 8, 2000, Jeremy McGrath kicked off won the first race of the year on a Yamaha.

On January 9th, 2010, James Stewart won the first race of the year on a Yamaha.

AMA Supercross Lites Class Stats in Phoenix
The first AMA Supercross Lites class in Phoenix was held on March 16 1991, and Jeff Emig won on a Yamaha.

This will be the 13th time the gate will drop for an AMA Supercross Lites class race in Phoenix.

James Stewart is the only rider to win Phoenix back-to-back. He accomplished this in 2002 and 2003.

Ivan Tedesco won the first five races of the Western Regional AMA Supercross Lites class in 2004, and since then, no one has been able to win the first two races of the season. Jake Weimer can accomplish this with a win Saturday night.

Pro Circuit has had a team for 20 seasons and have one at least one main event in 19 of 20 seasons. In 2001, Pro Circuit was unable to score a win.

Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki now has 102 AMA Supercross Lites class wins.
