When we sat down with the likable father of two, he was originally planning on making his debut at the July 4 Red Bud National. Plans out of Davi’s control have changed recently and it is likely he will not contest any of the remaining 2015 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Nationals. Mounted aboard Suzuki bikes with major backing from Monster Energy and Mountain Motorsports, Millsaps plans to return to action in October at the Monster Energy Cup in Las Vegas, Nevada.

So I guess the team didnt want to put up the money to do any of the Outdoor Nationals because it cost too much...sort of like Jab Motosports and TwoTwoo racing?

Or is Davy just being a flake?

What is the circumstance out of his controll? Is it the same circumstance that was out of his controll that got him fired from Kawi? Or the same circumstance that kept him from racin the KTM?

Oh well. More turnover in the sport

You guys ever consider that there is probably a good reason? He was obviously making an effort to race.

His original goal was to come back at either Millville or Red Bud (when I spoke to him about two weeks ago). Before we go full on crucify here, let's wait and see if he makes it onto the track when he said he would.

"Millsaps plans to return to action in October at the Monster Energy Cup in Las Vegas, Nevada." - sounds like he changed his estimate since talking to you.

I'm a bit confused on the article portion because during the actual interview Donn did
(Click through the link and listen to the actual interview in the video), he says he's still doing a few outdoors races. As I said, why don't we wait before we burn him at the stake? It'd be a nice change of pace around here...

Stewart wants to ride , but can't. Davi has a ride , but won't. Multiple injuries on both sides of the pond.

This is turning out to be a terrible season. SX 16' , " should " have Davi , James , Eli , Canard and everyone else back. A lot of fast dudes sitting on the side lines right now. On top of 22 MS closing shop , Jesus!

Yeah, I get the feeling the interview was old but the news about the new expected return date is new. Wasn't clear in the article though like you indicated.

That is cool. A SX only deal is much better for him, especially to build confidence. They can focus the ressources and have more time, so I hope he manages to dial his bike like in 2013. He is a bit like Reed, everybody may write him off but I would not count him out at all for a couple podiums, several top 5, and many battles between top 5 and top 10. That is what he did every seasons including this year !

If a guy really wants to race it doesn't have to cost as much as everyone says it does. Heart can make up for most of the missing extravagances. I'm sure many here can remember Doug Henry showing up in a roached Nissan pickup with a well used YZ250 and putting the hurt on many factory supported riders. It can be done. Can Davi do it? Would he?

Doug Henry's situation was different . He was retired and doing his home race for fun.

"There's some weird stuff going on over there", was Davi's first comment when the Kawasaki situation was first mentioned. Was he talking about stuff within the team, or all the many rumors that have circulated about what really happened?

Right, Doug had nothing to prove, Mudflap should be out proving he deserves a rid

Maybe it has to do with his lawsuit against Kawasaki?

Amazing to watch the video of Davi and the video of Philthy Phil.

See who wants it and who had it at one time. Even Millsaps said the goal is to get my name out there again and get paid.

It's amazing how, when Davi was winning SX's in 2013...the DM18 bandwagon was full to overflowing around here. Many were posting what a great dude he was, what a hard worker who had been though so much and had turned things around, what a great Dad he was, and how he deserved all the wins he was getting because he was "all that". Now that he's left Rockstar KTM, and gotten booted off of Team Kawi for undisclosed reasons (the real truth anyway), and now looks like he won't do the last few Nationals...seems like his "fans" have either turned on him or have run away and hidden.

Flaky bunch.

To many fans, keep holding onto old news, its 2015, prove what you can do now.
