Where he " wants " to finish will be up to him and how he feels I guess. If the good Davi shows up he'll be fighting to get on the box. If the " I'll flounder around in mid pack" Davi shows up , well then that's where he'll be.

I honestly think he'll do better than what most people think. Almost like he's got a point to prove. To himself , his team and fans of the sport.

I actually enjoyed seeing him ride before he fell of the radar. So i'm rather happy he's gonna be there this weekend.

Top 5 overall.
No way.
These are the types of threads that should be stickied. Here we have two people on opposite end of the spectrum declaring their results. Only one of you can be right so let's revisit this when it's over.

I'll bet his early lap speed is good, but how much has he been training and riding lately. I'm betting his fitness is just under where it will need to be to finish on the box. Of course I could be wrong. I was wrong once 10 years ago.

Top 5 overall.
You forgot to put the 1 in front of the 5.
Oh silly me! I meant 1-5 overall. Thanks for correcting me.Laughing

Davi has not competed in an outdoor MX race since September 2012 for JGR. It has been 3 long years. I do not think he is making the top 10 at he GP.

It will be tough jumping cold turkey into a gnarly race against outdoor specialist GP guys plus some Americans who are better prepared than Millsaps. Remember this is also his first outing with a brand new team.

No probs. Take the dash out and push the numbers together. I knew we'd get there in the end.
So let's say Davi ends up getting on the box , or possibly a top 5? What then?

Will the guys in here saying he won't get top 15 , come back and eat some crow?

Will they blame it on the heat and because the GP regulars just aren't used to it?

I love reading all these predictions of what a rider is capable of. It's also funny how none of them ever come back and eat their crow , as if they haven't said anything.

And this is coming from a guy who isn't that big of a DM118 fan as of late.

We'll the lineup is a pretty good one, I'm expecting some really good racing, good luck to Davi.

All I want to know is how much different GL will be compared to National.

The track will get the crap kicked out of it we know that much.

The entire show and pits will be a pretty good one IMO, GL will put his usual team to work.

On the box? This is a GP race. Not the Kansas state fair. He hasn't raced in months and hasn't raced Outdoors in a few years I believe. Highly unlikely even the good Davi would sniff the box let alone just getting of the couch and racing for a podium finish.

I'm going 9-12 for 10th.

Maybe I'm completely wrong......

I think if Davi gets top ten that will be really good for him. He is super talented so he could possibly pull it off but it will be tough. Great to see him back though... getting excited for supercross already!

They definitely won't come back and admit they're wrong. If they get beat by our "B" riders (everyone who is racing the MXGP from the AMA series is a "B" rider except Musquin and Webb, but they're obviously both accustomed to the 250 class) then they'll just say it's because all the riders have ridden the track before. They'll come up with some excuse.

But if one of the GP guys wins, holy hell we won't hear the end of it til next year. I don't care either way. I just wish we had Eli, Dungey, Stew, Kenny, Villo, JMart, Cianciarrilo etc out there. How amazing would that have been.
