Love that sound, but it's always so funny to watch a 2 stroke pinned but still going "relatively" slow. The best example of this is probably the video Husqvarna video with Anderson?

To a 4-stroke maybe? Mike Alessi is a faster rider on a 4 stroke, the majority(not everyone) is faster on a modern 4-stroke.

yup, riding two strokes is actually good practice for riding 4 strokes fast, particulary in corner speeds

I can agree with you on that! I had a RM250 and the 2014 KTM 450 at the same time and i got more aggressive with the RM since i had to be aggressive. But the majority of the riders will be faster on a modern 4-stroke!

I believe he means acceleration is clearly slower for how hard the engine is working compared to a 4 stroke under the same circumstances.

I hope you never show up where I ride, you'll be highly disappointed if you think that video looks slow.

So if you timed him through that same section, his mph would be higher if he was on a 250 fart box?

Ffs. Do you know what the word relatively mean? Mike Alessi would have been faster on a 4-stroke,

Excellent display of 2-stroke awesomeness!!! Way to go Mikey!!

Btw, who the fu#k cares what his speed would be on a 4stroke through that section??? Any douche bag with a modicum of skill can go fast on a 4-stroke. Not the case with a smoker.

The MCR team switched to Yoshimura this year, so likely running no logo on the pipe to not upset a sponsor since Yosh doesn't make 2 stroke exhaust.

Saw mike riding the 2 stroke last year at Monster Mountain and he looked good. He also rode the 450 and he was ripping that too. So, lets sum it up this way.... He can ride a dirtbike.... Pretty darn fast.
