Gotta give a shout out to my boy. In his second SX race and first main event he the ran the 7th best lap time of the main, coming from 18th to 11th. He was working on Anstie for 9th on lap 13 when his arms went away. It was high drama in our pit when in the second qualifier the race motor developed a problem. BJ Burns and I did a motor swap from his practice bike. Look for him to get more relaxed and challenge for top tens soon. I also want to congratulate Bruce Rutherford, the other Rocket Exhaust rider, making the main and finishing 13th after a night of food poisoning. Two of our exhaust systems in the main is pretty cool IMHO.

Congrats Don, it was exciting to see him crack into the top 10. Very impressive ride, I'm sure he is turning a lot of heads. It was hard to know what to expect after the disappointing Husqvarna experiment last year. Keep up the good work!

Been keeping an eye out on him, looks to be getting better each week. Hopefully next week he can battle for a top 10.

You folks have some nice looking bikes, too!

After cruising the PHX pits your bikes stood out as one of my favorites - up ther with TLD and T22

I was watching him at A1 in practice, he looked good. I forgot what happened with him there, I just remember piece missing off the bike, or is my age telling ? Good for him this week.

awesome for both guys..with the big list of fast guys to not make the main ..I was so pumped to see michael and bruce do so well...wouldnt that make them the top finishing privateers?
dumb question...they would be considered privateers right?

Good luck Rocketman! I know from experience that ML's time in Europe has matured him and given him a different perspective.

I think Michael is a modern day David Bailey as far as his tidy bike/gear appearance goes. The 180 Decal graphics have always looked awesome and I know he's been running them for a long time. The JT gear is CLEAN and the EKS Brand goggles match nicely. I'm rooting for him.

His time in the GPs was pretty tough to watch but he always stuck with it and remained professional. Good to see ML putting in the performances and getting the results. Shows how important it is to ride happy.

yeah i tottaly agree..i was always following how he was doing in the GP's and from bike problems to injuries to more bike problems seemed like michael just wasnt catching many or any breaks while he was overseas...but every time i saw something from him he was always profesional (not blaming anyone) and positive about where things were going in the future..he earned a ton of respect from me the last three years..From what i saw the last few years of his amature career Michael was always very close if not faster some days to baggets/wilsons/baker/week/and bunch of others that have already made a big splash in the US side of motocross..i could see it being frustrating to see that and know u have the speed/talent to be up there..welcome back...GO LEIB I also think he will do really well outdoors

I mentioned awhile back in a Husky thread that Leib wasn't in Dietrich's league...I must offically eat crow for that.

Good for you guys! Always cool to see hard work and determination pay off, hopefully he can keep the momentum rolling!
