I would be surprised if he doesn't get a ride somewhere.... How is a he a bad addition to any team... Dare I say a more solid choice than DV18?

And I am surprised by the JG33 to 22 over metty as well... I still say that makes zero sense, sponsorship dollars or not!

Agreed. Why someone would pick Metty over JG boggles my mind if the TwoTwo MS rumor is true. Go on racerXonline.com. Look in the vault and Metty has so many top 5's in both MX and SX it's unreal. It's not like JG isn't a marketing dream either. I mean it's not like the guy is a superstar like James Chad RV or Dungey...

It's hard to speculate without knowing the points of the deals or potential deals.

Hypothetically, Grant may be willing to sign a performance heavy contract while maybe Metty is after guaranteed money. I certainly don't know either, but I'd gather that it's more complicated than it seems.

You're probably right.

Seems like Reed has made it clear that he wants a championship caliber rider in the past. Maybe he's changed his mind. Last I heard that was before he injured himself again. But based on Grant's performance over the last several years, I just can't see him winning a championship. I could barely see him on the podium after a full season. And if JG brings his own sponsor, where will they put those sponsors on the team? I'll be surprised to see the deal go through. Stranger things have happened for sure though.

When asked several weeks ago Kenny Watson seemed very certain that RCH would have a 2 rider team and no more.

Roczen's salary alone is probably a couple times what the collective team salaries are for this year.

Just dreamin but if sponsors were easy to come by and I owned a team, I think it would be cool to have a big team and fill it with 2nd tier riders. I love underdogs.

Matthes mentioned that he doesnt want to race full time in America next season...Why get 2-300k for 17 SX and 12 MX races, when he can make 150 or so racing 10 in Canada?

Milsaps was solid in his last season. He's a proven winner, he's gotten 2nd in his last two SX seasons. He may not be RV caliber, but the kid is no slouch and is capable of solid results. Metty rode a great season and he deserves a good ride but I think Kawi is looking for wins, not top 5's. Although He should have landed the second spot over Hahn in my opinion.

I don't think Weimer will have a factory ride either. Or maybe even a decent support ride. And I don't think that Metty gets offered anywhere near 300K for a ride next year. The perception is that he isn't that good at supercross, true or not. He's at the older end of the spectrum so the perceived upside isn't high. He's clearly a great rider but no way he gets near 300K.

Well, where ever Metty goes I'll be pulling for him. The guy has heart. Be it Canada or America or Down Under the man races like it's his last race on earth every moto. That's what makes a peoples champ. Hope he lands something good.

If Metcalfe is only going to get paid that much only the top five guys should be paid well.

I think lots of teams missed the boat on Metty.

RCH probably wont get a top 9 rider for the second seat since they are going all in with Roczen,

The way I see it, neither Metty or JG are going to win a championship. Honestly, does anyone think they will?
1 or 2 wins in SX will get a team a lot more exposure than a handful of top 5's, am I right? Now tell me which rider has the best chance of getting the win. For me - JG33.
