McDade - What a stand up move

Anyone else think it was awesome to see him take a second, drop his bike to pick up Hahn's bike up off of him? I don't know much about him but that made me an instant fan. Hahn looked like he was close to the exhaust and maybe getting burnt. Hopefully that isn't the case.

Very cool move

Seeing that made me cry

Definitely a cool thing to do. It looked like Hahn was indeed getting burned. Lets hope he's ok.

Didn't hesitate even a bit. His parents can be proud.

Wil owes him a steak dinner.

very cool on McDades part.

8/11/2012 12:10 PM

Classy move. Still worked his way up to about 25th.

That was a class act. Hopefully we will see more of him in the top 10!

For some reason it reminded me of this.

What an awesome move. Probably the most stand up, and thoughtful move I've ever seen on a motocross track. class act.

8/11/2012 12:39 PM

Very cool indeed. Wasn't there a situation in supercross years ago where Tim Ferry had his helmet trapped under his bike during a heat race and a guy stopped to help unpin him?

Are you smart enough to buy a bike that costs less, weighs less, makes more horsepower per cubic centimeter, can be rebuilt for recycled aluminum can money and is giggle inducing? It is hard to believe that the American riding public flunks this test en masse. How stupid are you?

8/11/2012 12:56 PM

That was awesome for sure.

8/11/2012 1:16 PM

to me it seemed odd that emig if i remember right made it sound like that was the first time hes seen it. personally in district 16 i would be more suprised if someone didnt do that than if they did.

That was very classy of Mike, he deserves a top ten in moto 2 for that.

X2! I hope good karma follows Mike for years to come...

still, it was the right move.

Just by the way McDade turned around, I have to imagine that Wil had some panic in his voice. I would like to say that the other 39 riders on the line would have made the same move but I'm afraid of what the true outcome would be if it had been anyone else.

it is sad to say that others may not have done it.

That was a class act move for sure. I know allot of people don't know McDade but I have watched that guy fly on a dirt bike for a long time. Up until recently he never took his racing serious and just raced to have fun but if he keeps working hard he will show allot of people what he has. I watched him put it to Barcia at Minios and run fast's lap of the event. He has the talent that's for sure.

Where's he from? I think my buddy used to be his mechanic forever ago. Said he was über talented

Pretty damn cool.

Mike made himself a lot of fans today.

Think he's from Western PA - near Ohio.... (?) rides Ohio tracks a lot...

8/11/2012 5:22 PM

I just heard that story in the media tent, and they said Wil was being burned by his bike.

Very cool on McDade's part.

A friend fell on a hill once when we were riding. By time I got his bike off him the pipe gave him a burn that kept him out of work for a while. No work, no money for college. Kudos for McDade for helping Hahn.

I always thought he was from NC but I'm not sure. I know he has raced all around this area ( va,nc,sc) for years. About 5 years ago I watched him have a high speed crash at Birch Creek and he did the rag doll thing for about a 100 yards. Then he got up and shook it off and hauled ass and caught the front pack in A class. Everybody watching that day stood there with there mouth hung open like they just watched the parting of the sea.

Pretty sure the poster on here Chris Oneal was his mechanic forever ago. Said he was a phenomenal talent

I mean come on-who have to be a total asshole to not help a guy get his bike off that he is trapped under and waving his hand for help. Good move for sure.
