"Since the month of June and my fall at Lakewood I was hanging out a wound, which worsened at own pace of the races. I knew that by continuing to roll like that I was taking risks but at the same time I couldn't give up this race under mx us. Once the championship is over, I consulted with Dr. Ardouin, Nantes, specialist of the hand. His verdict was already clear, there was a need to operate. But the motocross des nations held me so much to heart... For me, for you, for France.
Monday morning after ernee, I went back to nantes make of additional tests that have confirmed once again the need to operate. So I trusted the Dr. Ardouin, which has operé my wrist. During the operation he was amazed that of what he saw. It does indeed still not how I could do to roll, if only serve me of my hand.
Simply put, I'm distended the ligament of the wrist has lakewood, the wrist took of the game, and the bones came rub against my tendons, causing a major inflammation, and the breaking of some tendons of fingers, which explains Why I couldn't bend my little finger.
More J had a nerve of tablet in the wrist and in the elbow which explains why I felt more my fingers when I was driving, and even more on the 450 cc like to Glen Helen or I had to stop the second round For the same reason.
I'm really happy that today we are able to understand the why of the problems that I hang out for several months, and that everything can I hope to return in the order.
Now we need of rest for that everything heals, and I couldn't unfortunately not participate in the red bull straight rhythm this weekend...
My next big date will be the supercross from Geneva before of course the resumption of the championship sx us in January.

Since My crash in Lakewood, I was racing with an injury, which got worse races after races. I knew at the time that if I kept riding like this it wasn't good but I couldn't give up on the outdoor championship. Once the outdoor season was over, I met Dr Ardouin, from France, a hand specialist. It was clear I needed surgery. But I didn't want to miss the Mx Des Nations, for myself but also for all the French fans and for my country.
Monday morning after Ernee, I went back to see the doctor to do more exams which confirmed the necessity of the surgery. Dr Ardouin operated on my wrist. While on the operating table, the doctor couldn't believe how much damages I made. He still doesn't know how I was able to ride or even just use my hand.
To make it simple, I stretched my ligaments in my wrist in Lakewood, then my wrist was loose, and the bone was irritating my tendons which were very inflamed. The bone was filing the tendons, which cut one of them and half of the other one. That explains why I couldn't move my pinky anymore.
I also had a compressed nerve in the elbow and the wrist, which caused the numbness of two of my fingers while riding. It was even more while riding the 450cc, and this is the reason why I had to stop the second Moto in Glen Helen.
I'm glad we find the issue and we were able to hopefully fix it.
Now I need some rest to heal, and unfortunately I won't be able to ride the Red Bull straight Rhythm this weekend.
My next race should be the Supercross of Geneva before the opening of the Supercross Season beginning of January.

I can't believe the pain threshold of some of these guys, and how they can ride almost at 100% with that pain

impressive how close marvin came to winning the outdoor title and then his amazing ride at the des nations with a buggered wrist!!!

hope he has an injury free season through supercross and next years outdoors. I think he could be a contender if he can stay fit, love to watch him ride- awesome style on a bike!

Funny how quickly people forget how wide a bike Jeff Emig would ride when trying to hold position. He did everything Marvin does, and more.

Good for M.M. getting his wrist fixed. Can't wait to watch him race that 450.

Repairing a wrist seems complicated so doesn't the goal of racing the Geneva SX seem a little too optimistic? Especially by the time it heals and then he is back on the bike training. Seems like he would rest it longer and heal it so there is no long term effects over the coming SX/MX season. I just hope he doesn't rush the whole process.
