Pretty big chance Tony claims his 9th Worldtitle this weekend with a lead of 96 points on Herlings. Jonass could claim his first, if he can gain 10 points on Seewer. Additional classes: WMX, EMX150 and VMX. A lot of rain is predicted, so it will be even tougher than last year when it was pretty wet aswell. They started dumping the sand on it last Monday. I won't be surprised if they dig the holes so deep until they reach the tarmac underneath.

Looking foward to this GP it's normally one of the better tracks for racing. It would be good to see Cairoli take the overall win or atleast s moto win to secure the championship but The bullet is going to take some beating in front of his home crowd.

How many points has Cairoli got to get in the first Moto to take his 9th title , 4 or 5 ?

Do the math: 96-25=71, so he has to take 5 points. In case of an equal amount of points Herlings takes the title because he will have more race wins. But only if Herlings goes 1-1-1-1 and Cairoli 17-DNF-DNF-DNF ofcourse.

I tried to find out last week but failed, how come Conrad wasn't racing at the USGP?

Assen was very entertaining last year, looking foward to it again.

Hypothetical - Tony breaks both arms in the first moto this weekend. Does he get his arms splinted and ride the last round in an attempt to gain 4 points?

I guess the question really is, how bad of an injury would stop him trying to get those 4 points if something did happen in the first moto this weekend? Or would you just hope Jeff doesn't win all 4 races?

Gonna be a great Cairoli/Herlings battle! Tony will win the title in the first moto and will give Herlings all he got the Second moto for the overall! Thats one thing for sure.

Cairoli is a great starter and Assen is not the best place to pass, i predict Cairoli with the overall with 2-1.

I agree crusty, Jonass deserves it.

A shame Seewer has to move up, would love to see these 2 battle it out again next year.

Seewer has had multiple chances of cutting down Jonass lead but failed almost every time.

The unfortunate fact is that he makes so many mistakes himself that Jonass can ride at 80% and win the title.

Totally agree with that! Its Seewer his own fault he is that far off. To many crashes and other weird stuff every single race.

Only wanted to say it can come close if Assen gonna be a mudder. The weather will be bad all weekend so we need to see. But pretty good change Seewer is down on the ground again and not Jonass Haha!Laughing

Tony want to prove a point and show he is the man. Last 2 weeks the whole world is talking about Herlings, How good he is and what he did. Let Tony a little in the shadow.

He wants to prove a point and what a way to win youre 9th world title and beat Herlings at home!

It will Thunder from above and on the track this weekend Evil

He is warming up for the Vets Des Nations.. this is just a club meeting by comparison.

Herlings is going to take some beating at his home GP though. I'm actually rooting for Cairoli to win both moto's and end his 9th championship in big style.

PhilG a club meeting in comparison LaughingLaughing I'm guessing he's doing Farleigh.

Sadly, Puzar will not be riding. He has broken his hand.

That's a shame, would liked to have seen Puzar on the track again. One of my all time favourite riders.

Wow, looks quite bad right there. We haven't had that much rain in the south of the Netherlands today.

Yeah petty bad weather around these areas last few days, just checked the Assen area for this weekend and its looks decent between 15 - 20 °c & about 20% chance of rain for both days.

These pictures by MBR look gnarly tho! Gonna be interesting to see what kind of track we get tomorrow.
