What is more exciting in the run up to the event?

I would say it is a pretty close call for me!

A1 only because it's been so long since we've seen racing by the time it comes around. More excited for A1, but the Des Nations I care more about.

I'd say A1 only because the anticipation isn't tempered by who's not riding, who's hurt, does the team have a chance. And there's not the bs about who "won."

Not that there won"t be bs.

Pretty close call.

yep good point, a lot more unknowns too due to a lack of racing in the run up... plus all the new bikes and new gear is cool.

MXDN by a million miles for me.

A1 is cool too but obviously it's the first round of the season and a rider will only lay so much on the line at that point. Whereas later on in the series when everyone's comfortable, it improves a bit. Plus I just like watching MX better and there really is nothing quite as spectacular or as unique as a Des Nations imo.

A1 by a mile. I'm so stoked for the des nations that I paid 20 bucks to get up at 4am and watch it. A1 makes me kinda crazy and get butterflies . My wife had to plan our January wedding around supercross.... I know a lot of you think sx is just a show, but it is the most exciting dirtbike racing to watch in my opinion. I love having friends over for the live races and getting a lil buzzed. Oh boy I can't wait.

While I think A1 is exciting I also know there will be 16 more SX races afterwards just like it. I have to wait 364 days to see another des Nations.

The MXdN is the perfect way to end the year. A1 is the perfect way to start a year.

It's all that bollocks inbetween the two that I hate.

MXdN hands down for me,

Personally I'm a huge Outdoors fan,not such a great SX fan but A1 is cool and means there's finally racing again after a long lay off

I've been to A1 the last 2 years in a row and the racing wasn't good cause all the riders are just trying to survive it. I really wanted to go to the MXDN this year but no funds. Sad I'm excited about the second round this year in SX more than the first.

What about back when they were on 2 strokes?
