15th December 2016 - THQ Nordic hereby announces the 2017 Official Track Edition of MX vs. ATV Supercross Encore for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

While there are racing games out there that have replica tracks and seasons, this will be the first time in video game racing history (at least to the best of THQ Nordic’s knowledge), where players can download the official track layout days before the actual race each week throughout the entire season (except for Daytona). For example: players will be able to download Anaheim Round 1 on Tuesday and then watch the pros race the same track layout that Saturday night!

This special edition also marks a first for the MX vs. ATV series recreating an official Supercross season.

For a limited time, boxed versions of this game will go on sale Tuesday, January 4th with an MSRP of $39.99/€39.99 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC, including the full game of MX vs. ATV Supercross Encore plus all 16 races from the 2017 Supercross season (Daytona excluded).

Players who already own a copy of MX vs. ATV Supercross Encore will be able to pick up a DLC pack that will also give them a new track each week for an MSRP of $19.99/€19.99.

That's awesome think I'll have to pick it up. What's included in the base game track wise? Also are you able to pick up the base + SX season digitally for $40? The PR just mentions something about the boxed version.

I'm right there with you. I see this getting discounted more and more at Wally World but can't bring myself to buy it. Bringing the actual tracks in to things might change my mind a bit.

now go borrow mx sims physics and you will be golden. mx sim is like forza/gt, your games are more like need for speed, no offense.

And zero programmed AI. MX Sim isn't for everyone. Come on guys. This is great news for an official track console release. Let's not turn it into another mx simulator topic. There are plenty of those and rightfully so but this is about Encore finally giving us replicas. Great news.

In before MX Simulator guys show up and start telling everyone.... never mind

Meh. I'm sorry but the fact is that the physics in that game are so ridiculous that replica tracks wont even feel "replica".

This is awesome. Yes, the physics and scale need to be improved but I think all of us who game and ride moto should support this.

Then they are still consider " arcade ".....because there is nothing " Sim " about Forza. As far as " Sim Physics " go though , in the "Need for speed " franchise line up...." Live for speed " actually had pretty good physics and was a heavily modded simish-arcade , much like Pcars is now days. If you want to learn what a " Real sim " is...then go here >> http://www.racedepartment.com

FWIW....the best MX game I ever had the most fun on , was MCM2. Total arcade.....but god that game took about 4yrs of my life! I did have quite a bit of fun on the MXGP game too.

This.

I'll put the 500 2 stroke to work on these tracks.

This is awesome! I have a few questions though:

1) We get to keep the tracks, right? This isn't going to be like Mad Skills(multiplayer jam) where you get a track for a week, then the following week it gets replaced with a new one?

2) Once we buy the DLC, will the new track automatically download each week via a MX vs ATV update, or will we need to go into the MotoClub Depot every Tuesday and manually download it?

PS: Some new 2017 gear would be very welcome addition, too.

The game Supercross Circuit ('99?) had licensed the whole SX track series as well as license for the outdoor tracks.

but yes the first to offer as a download (FINALLY)

Damn awesome! Pretty hyped about this. This is exactly what i wanted to happen last year everytime they showed the track preview footage during sx.

Get the game on PC and run a PS4 controller in DS4 Windows. In that you can crank up the sensitivity to feel like Reflex.

I plan to do some skins/mods for the game and start building tracks as well for PC.

I'm hoping the scale of the SX tracks is closer to Alive. Either way it is something new. Can't have it all at once. Those guys are trying their best with a limited budget.
