I don't get it.. Sometimes it seems to be a unanimous belief with moto fans that there is too much of the robotic sounding podium interviews, the riders don't speak their mind etc. But the second someone does something like what Roczen did with wearing a suit at the A1 press conference (which wasn't in any way controversial, btw), the moto community loses their collective shit!

So which is it going to be: Predictable answers to questions, "the goal is to get a good start", "can't thank", listing off sponsors-type talk? Or do you want dynamic personalities, interesting narratives, and honesty? In my opinion, the latter is something that can draw people into a sport and I think we should welcome it.

America/Western Culture is conditioned to put down/judge that anyone who is different and the internet is a great way for people to voice this belief system.. People are basically bored and rather shit on others to make themselves feel better about their boring 9-5 wife/husband life.

MTV, TMZ, Reality TV, News and TV is general is the reason why.

the suit was fine, it was that terrible tie that ruined it. No reason for someone that thin and in shape to wear such a fat tie.

How has the Moto community lost their collective shit? It seems to me that you've taken some statements by some people and made a huge generalization. Don't do that anymore

Wow speaking of robots, how about RV in that transworld interview with swap. He just seems pissed. I know that's how he's always been and he's always different on pulpmx but this is at a new level.

There are more than enough fans that there will always be plenty of opinions from both sides of any argument. So some people will cry and whine that they want something changed, then another group will cry and whine when that something changes. Some people like the type of people that tend to be "robots", some don't.

I rarely listen to podium speechs, wasted an hour of my life watching the press show (minus a couple minutes that were good) and usually prepare food during the beginning of a sx

From all the riders out there, in my opinion Cianciarulo has the best mix of both. He's livid, speaks his opinion, makes jokes, loves the sport AND he's humble, friendly, etc.

They don't just whine about the robotic interviews. Some complain that a certain rider robots the track.
I usually just chuckle.

If he was Livid , he'd not be making jokes, and not be humble and friendly.

'Lucid'? - I daresay you were posting through a 'phone - they are bastards of things for destroying your writings.......................

I think the whole culture of Pro motocross is a bit peculiar and needs to evolve.
Strange mix of self censored, corporate, religious, PC culture mixed with ironically un-PC slutty porn, sexism and fireworks. haha.

I would love to see Cooper Webb and Roczen develop a rivalry in the next few years.

I've said this before about podium interviews and I understand they have obligations to their sponsors. However, to us avid fans, the canned podium speech is a horse well beaten.....Again, it would be nice if they would post a list of their sponsors on the side bar during the interview and JUST TALK ABOUT THE RACE!!

Do away with "Keys to the race" as it is a waste of time.

Looking forward to a great season and hopefully it's not a run away in points. Beer on ice, ready for football, then SX tonight baby!!! BRAAAP!!!

I could be way off, but I believe he was trying to get in the other riders heads. it very well may not work, but that would be my take on it

Yes collective shit! Enough so that the way a man was dressed is discussed by grown men in multiple threads multiple times on a effing motocross message board... so yeah collective shit was used in the correct context.

Disclaimer: I participated in one thread so I am one of those who lost their "collective shit"

Not to mention the jacket was too tight. Look at the way it formed an X right around the button. Dead giveaway.
