He's probably sitting up in the PNW enjoying the sun and mowing his lawn like the rest of us..

I broke my tailbone in 01, and it was a looooooooong time before I rode again. If the guy isn't ready, he doesn't owe the world shit. He's back when he's back.

If he decides to retire, I will miss watching his blazing speed and style! But as they say all good things must end, and if it ended now, I would consider him to be one of the best to twist the throttle!

He is just letting the suspense build up for his announcement to race the GP's next year.

Nah, bro. Anybody that's been on here any time at all knows that already. Just like I knew you'd eventually show up to comment.

Hey, only non-moto fans can be a hater on RV2 and what he has contributed to the sport over the last 9 years. Not mad bro, and he ain't missing, I know exactly where he is and I am going to enjoy spending the 4th with my nephew for the first time in over 10 years. Get on with your life, he's getting on with his.

And there ya go!

Uncle , even if we never get to see him race any more of the GP's , Nationals , SX , what would be really cool if he just went out and rode for fun and stayed here in the NW , where he's from. He's accomplished a BUNCH in this sport , and I hope that all those tough years of hard fought competition didn't ruin the one true , good thing...and that's riding your bike and having fun. I sure hope he didn't burn himself out to the point of never wanting to ride again. Lots of old pro's hang it up for good after their career , and then 20yrs later re-discover it , and get pissed that they missed out on a bunch of fun. And tell him that the NW guys still have his back!

I'm bummed I'll never get to see him ride again.

He had a penchant for stretching throttle cables like not many before or since. Was always awesome to watch.

Hey man the guy is hurt in a way that is not easy to recover from. Had he stayed healthy he would in all likelihood be either leading or close to the points lead as things stand right now. Obviously he is still hurt to the point where he can't race at a competitive level, so that is that. He has come back from brutal injuries, and put the hurt on his competitors and has a record that puts him amongst the best there has ever been, so I would say that is pretty freakin good in terms of a career. It has been a pleasure watching him. Best of luck RV-you have been one of the big dogs. Cheers man. Enjoy whatever comes next, you have earned it a thousands times over.

No shit! And Rcm buddy is right at the top of the list. He asks " what did a 4X SX champ ever contribute to the sport?"

Gotta go down in the hall of shame for the stupidest question ever asked on this site.
