It's 2015 broadcast the Nationals in HD...Come on man!
On another note.....it is not MavTV. They have HD, but DirecTV doesn't offer the channel in HD.

YOU DO know who owns Mavtv don't you?
If you don't it's Lucas Oil
I guess it's more important to try and build a friendship with the owner of Lucas Oil.
It amazes me in this day and age that everything is not in HD. I just don't get it.
What do you all say about that. Maybe Davey could set us charter people up with some special VIP viewing area.
Are you listening DC.

That's the link to Directv to request MAVTV in HD. Let's light them up with requests! I sent in that I can't watch the Lucas Oil Motocross series in HD by the so-called, "leader in sports", but I can watch someone bake muffins in HD on the Food Network. Shit' I'll even pay a little more if I had to.
Hello Mr. *******,
Thank you for taking the time to share your suggestions regarding the programming options currently available on DIRECTV. I am glad to hear you have such a passion for DIRECTV and want to make it even better for yourself as well as all customers.
Although we do not carry MavTV in HD right now, and we don’t currently have plans to add it to our lineup, your feedback is important to us as we often make changes based on our viewers' comments. Most often the reasons are related to the available satellite capacity as standard definition requires less bandwidth than high definition. As satellite capacity increases, we review our programming lineup for enhancements and channel additions.
Please be aware, any proposed channel additions to our current lineup are subject to change until a formal announcement is made. For the latest information on channel additions, please visit our website at www.directv.com/pr.
Again, thank you for the valuable feedback you provided; we can’t improve if we don’t receive feedback like yours!
Sincerely,
Jamie

1 - Were there ANY other options to broadcast the race? If so why did he choose a channel that very few people have access to?
2 - What are the rating numbers prior to the move and after the move? And is there a backup plan for when/if MavTV goes under? The way they're playing right now, they're not going to be around much longer.
I thought I heard somewhere else that there was no interest from any of the other broadcasts, but I couldn't tell whether that was to say that there were literally 0 options, or if one option was a little more financially burdening than the other. It's getting tiring to have to jump through hoops to watch moto.
I did get the opportunity to see the first 450 moto on promotocross.com and I actually enjoyed that broadcast. I was able to get an HDMI from my computer to the TV and it was a GREAT picture.
