Husqvarna TC250 Pre-season (stock looking) head and valve cover.

At Bulgaria and Holland GP's, New head and valve cover. Looks like a direct gear drive system, but I still see the cam chain adjuster mechanism. Anybody know whats up?

That bike is so cool! The GP bikes are amazing with all the prototype stuff. When the hell is the US going to drop the production rule? Since the rules inception how many races (indoor & outdoor) have been won by true privateers since the playing field was "leveled"? lol

I don't believe in the production rule, but it did force the manufacturers to create competitive stock bikes. The production engineering and race bike engineering used to be completely separate entities.

On a separate note. Aren't there any Husqvarna insiders on here that can at least tell us what these changes are to the Factory 250 Husky's?

What's with the hate for the Italians? You've posted similar to this before. And for the record Michael Lieb hasn't raced yet due to injury. He should be racing at Glen Helen.

A friends son was promised help w specialparts making it fast and competetive. Never happend.....And in Brittain every Huskyteam gave up when the backup fom Italy never came. The Huskypeople told them that they were riding totally stock bikes w little fixed suspension in MX3 GP and European Champ MX2. I know a Brittish rider who dropkicked 7 (seven)!!! Husky 250 back to the importer in England. Thats why maybe?

I have a prejudgement based on experience that Germans are much better to deliver than Italians, as in in production. So hopefully this will be change for the better.

Is the fork seal leaking there on that prototype or what? When the lower fork leg has one of those lines of dirt, I'm used to discover a leaking seal! Smile Probably wrong...

Could be using it as a marker when testing different suspension settings.

No idea. edit, on wikipedia it says they were 1984 Honda XL500's (a CR250 was used for the stunt shots)

I remember thinking it was badass when I was about 6 years old... now it just looks damn right Fugly!

Most likely some hybrid. XL500 with Kawasaki rims maybe?

Whatever, ti's like discussing where Frankensteins body parts came from. The concept It's just disturb and ugly and shouldn't have emerged to start with! Smile

Yes! And a top ten rider in sweden throw it away today and bying a Suka!! This is no joke! I heard it couple of minutes ago! It was absolutely impossible to fix the suspension sayes rumors. Just like Knights rumor.......... To change front sprocket you must assembly the swingarm? Muahahahah! It's like Ferrari! Fagfashion and no function. Try to drive a F-40 fast longer than 2 hours and it will brake. Ferrariowners don't like to tell you because they can't sell the piece of shit? Same with Huskyowners.

And how hard is it to remove the swingarm? Not very hard at all, and it can be done in a few minutes. I'm not even a Husky fan, but I'm a fan of innovation for the sport and their reasoning for putting the countershaft sprocket there is pretty cool.

I rode the new 450 Husky (that has BMW's mark all over it) and what Knighter said was all true. Compared to the 450 Honda its a tank. I love the Honda to ride, but its easily the slowest of the big 5 and the Husky is real mellow in comparison to it! BMW think because they know formula 1 they don't need to listen to anybody but themselves in making a dirtbike either. They think that having a bike that doesnt squat under acceleration is a good thing, but every single offroad/mx rider relies on the ability to lift the front wheel over bumps with a little throttle!

I wouldn't bad mouth the Italians BIG at least they have a track record of winning world titles. Unless the Germans wake up and listen to those that have been there and done it that 450 bike aint gonna win shit.

Thanks for asking. Th truth is that I can't say much. What I can say is that the race bikes are coming along well. By looking at the pictures the race team is obviously using a different cylinder head. They handle well, are light and Michael really likes riding them. I have not seen one in person and am really looking forward to checking them out at Glen Helen. FYI, i have developed a pipe for the production 2010-11 TC250 and new 310 that is very good and have been selling them.

Looks like a move from a unicam system like Honda, (or something like the 05 or so KTM 450) to a double overhead cam system.

You guys sayin' Husqvarna's are a piece of shit are killin' me (still have dreams of my 71' 400Cross in 9th grade at Sutter Jr. High). I know you're probably right about the stock stuff (My shop is down the street from MXA and Basher had the TC449 in his truck when he came by the other day), but I was hoping the factory would build M. Lieb something special. It looks the part, Braking Batfly brakes, CRM Compositi, Carbon fiber skid plate and sub-frame, etc., factory KYB suspension, Sella Dalla Valle seat, Hydraulic clutch, Akrapovic exhaust, Husqvarna Factory cylinder head, triple clamps, XL radiators, etc., etc.. I guess we'll see at Glen Helen if it's still a dog. Those hills at Glen Helen really seperate the tuners from the parts changers. C'mon USGP. I'm pullin' for Lieb, no matter what! (Osborne too)
