Loving life with a close corner track!!

Edited Date/Time 1/18/2015 10:32pm
I have a friend and moto fan that just cut a corner track on his land and it's only 6 miles from my house. No jumps, but at least it's no longer 50-70 mile drive to practice.

Figure I'll get blasted for my riding skills, but still gonna post a lap of the track.

Looks fun for sure! The neighbours seem close, I hope they won't complain too much.

I'm not gonna blast you with your skills, but just something I noticed: you seem to drop inside the ruts/berms a lot. You can solve this by carrying more speed, allowing you to really use the ruts/berms effectively. It seems like you have a nice place to practice that.

Yeah, owner is going to prep twice a week in warm weather and we will switch directions each week.

Haaaa!

You knew it was coming.
Dig the track...I can see it being built into something very cool to ride.
Good for you and whoever else involved.

Agreed! He bermed a lot of corners up, was laying into them more and more as the day went on. Once those berms are smooth and start getting comfortable ripping them, track will be fast and have a lot of flow.

I was lucky enough to grow up on a farm that had a few tracks on it. One was for 'training and practicing' with bigger jumps and got ridden on quite a bit and a track with only one or two tiny natural jumps 'down the bottom'. Whenever we got a heap of us together we'd spend hours and hours on the bottom one cause it kinda evened the field and was so much fun. It also really improved your corner speed cause it was the only place to make up time

Looks awesome! Couple more sweepers in the straights to slow it down might be good?

Throw some rollers in on the straights to really give you a work out! Looks fun.

Sweet. Keep working on it. We can all get better and that video quality is amazing.
