Okay, we've been slammed with rain since yesterday late in the afternoon, and it's still raining. The good thing is that Jeff Russell and Randy Poulter and crew are excellent in these conditions and will have the track shaped up quickly, as soon as the rain stops. Right now another front is coming through, and we expect more for about a half-hour. After that, they would need maybe an hour to get it race-able. So at best guesstimate, we are looking at 10:30 to 11 a.m. for a first gate drop...

If another thunderstorm doesn't hit us! The good news is that rest of the week should be hot and clear, and we will get the motos in, on a great track, as soon as the rain stops.

Thanks for your patience, motos coming soon on www.racertv.com

In 88ish we were racing in a thunderstorm from hell, lightning hit one of the trees that the anthill jump was built between, right before the banked right sweeper that brings you next to road.

The haybales caught fire, half the riders pulled off,the other kept racing. It was a huge protest thingy afterwards.

Oh,and there were riders going between those trees when the lightning hit.

It is a good thing to stop racing nowadays.

Decided to drive out to the track, paid the 40 for me and wife, place was a mess, was told we would have to park all the way back at the museum and ride a bus. It was still raining and didnt want to be that far from the car so we turned around and decided to try again tomorrow and went right back to the front gate, guess what....no refunds! I just literally threw 40 bucks out the window

The pass is good for all day. Go back in 2-2.5 hrs and you will be shocked how good the track is. Hopefully you may be able to find a spot to park closer to the track by then. But if not, park by the nuseum and ride the bus. Its really not that far. Less than a mile from where you would normally park.

I'm not seeing it either. One of the comments on the side did say that it wasn't going to start until 3 PM. Not sure if that's right not or not.

You can listen announcer audio here

Live stream was supposed to begin with 85 (9-11) Limited moto, so one more hour until they decide to begin with some earlier moto and not delay their broadcast the same than motos

Couple other things,

Back then the track was grass to start practice and I was in the first group to go out, talk about fun,I dont think they plowed any part. Then we got to ride last session because it had changed so much.

And the start went left of that tree,it barely doglegged right then straight to the u turn waayy down there. It was scarry fast.

In the 500 class I was mid pack, saw a bike twitch up ahead then all hell broke loose. One bike slapped down then flipped high enuf for me to go under it,something I remember ever year at this time.

It was redflagged and we restarted with several empty gates.

Good decision to start going right of that tree.

Thank you, this is a great idea, wish the Nationals and SX would do something like this with an Audio only feed in addition to the video feeds. Then all I need is a good set of wireless earbuds and I could be anyplace my better half drags me to and listen to moto while looking entertained. EvilEvil

17th on the first lap but he didn't even leave the gate with everyone else! That's crazy.

When the mountains collapse into the sea and the stars fall from the heavens, Barry Carsten will still be racing somewhere.
