If you look at that picture, you're looking down the road that veers to the left to head back to the barn and Loretta's house.

The little white sideways triangle thing next to the pole is the results board
To the far right, you just catch the edge of the balcony of the Fox Tower
The Air Nautiques sign is looking at the start which turns right at the end of that sign, heding through that hole in the trees.
The white sign looking thing is really the mechanics signal area, that's the roof and facia that usually has signage.

The rain and or flooding ,is way worse south of us, we live about an hour north of Lorrettas, and they said we got 12-15 inchs of rain in 2 days, most of Clarksville ,Tn is shut down, our countys schools are closed as are Clarksvilles, my middle and oldest sons work places are closed, my middle sons, his place of business has 5 feet of water inside it. My older brother works at Opryland hotel in Nashville, Tn., and is a chef there for 22 yrs ,parts of the Hotel are under 10 ft of water, they laid him off for 2 weeks as of now, but it will take alot longer than that to repair the damage.
They said the flooding is the worst ever, including the great flood they had here in the 1930s, and the river hasnt yet crested.

Is the Clarksville Track there still?

What about that new Nissan plant? Isnt that by the river near Franklin or thereabouts?

reminds me of Troy, OH. Happened twice in one year.
Wonder what kind of emergency evacuation plan they have. What if this happened during the amateur nats.

The Clarksville track (B & J MX) is long gone. The Nissan plant is in Smryna, but they built a huge headquarters building in Franklin.

How much water do you think all those "C" riders can hold back?

i was there in 1985 when a hurricane blew up from the gulf and the rains washed all of the topsoil away. the next year, there were rocks everywhere.
