I saw this Leatt Carbon MTB helmet on Pinkbike, they just released it at Eurobike tradeshow. It will be interesting to see the moto version come out?

wonder if this design violates any of the 6D design patents - similar but different

It's quite a bit different system when you see the cut away. Similar idea, different way of accomplishing it.

I love Leatt's products, and this is no exception. I know that this is the cycling version of the helmet, so it will look a little different than the moto version you guys are looking forward to seeing, but the technology they use always seems to be next level. I think the helmet looks a little weird in some areas but I would rather take that with the safety it provides.

Very cool features! To marry up with the neck brace is expected but I would appreciate that fitment for a hydro tube also

Haven't tried it, yet. That's what I'm gonna do POST Vet-Worlds: TEST new Helmet Tech. I was really impressed when Bob Weber, the 6D guy, was telling me about ALL they wen thru...research and patent-wise, to get to the point where they'd nailed down a design and started making helmets.

Another product driven by passion.

Then the Leatt guys told me what they were up to.

And, I need to put my Airoh on and try it.

And, there's a TLD product that needs testing that's a bit "different", too.

I'm going to do it between Vet-Worlds and Day in the Dirt...shall we have a New-Helmet-Tech "Shoot-Out"?

I was surprised to see 6d released a line of MTB helmets as well. http://www.6dhelmets.com/#!atb-1/c1ead

6d is gonna come out with street bike helmets too, according to the dude at the 6d tent at LL's.

That Leatt helmet looked sharp!

Has some useful features too that seem rather obvious in hindsight, like the drink tube clip.

From what I read it doesn't sound like new technology. They are using "Kali Protectives' dual layer foam construction technique" which is currently available in moto, road bike, and mtn bike helmets. Maybe I am confused but I don't see the innovation here.
