the bike was equipped with complete Sölva Suspension: Fork, Shock and triple clamps.

The broken triple clamp wasn't a KTM Part. Sölva supplies their own triple clamps for their forks and the stem broke out of the clamps.

Well I knew that there was a reason that KTM changed to the "factory" clamps in 2009. Holy shit.

This happened to my good buddy one day. Those POS KTMs. Nevermind the fact he smashed into a concrete barrier head on! Laughing

Love how crabby the KTM fan boys get over a couple people saying they've mostly seen it happen to KTMs. Truth hurts, I guess, because I've seen more orange bikes with the front end snapped off than any other. Most probably running aftermarket clamps. Nobody said it only happens to them like your dumb comments indicate. And two of those bikes Crush posted with snapped frames are only because somebody didn't know what they were doing with an AF conversion (Honda and Kawi).

Well we have to remember that these kind of failures are extremely rare, it's not like anyone should be worried next time they are on the track.

Did it break because he crashed or did he crash because it broke???

as for i understand and being somewhat up to date he over jumped a large margin in a last ditch effort to win the heat in the LAST LAP, and to be fare it where the Solva clamps that failed the frame itself is still straight and has no cracks in it.

bike is from CKK Ceriel Klein Kromhof

Somebody posted a much better pic of this bike on Facebook and of course tagged me in it and it definitely has aftermarket triple clamps on it. I'll try and find it and post it. The forks and clamps were not stock KTM stuff.

Does anyone think KR94 is bashing a tad?

Yeah, he is the one that left. He didn't like the bike. Roger wanted him to stay. He said no. I think he is butt hurt that what he complained about was fixed with the new bike.

But in that MX Nation series he said his suzuki wont turn and the forks feel like metal rods. I mean shit, sometimes you got to realize your mistakes, not take digs like a 12 year old.

Totally agree with you!
Best words in a long time regarding that topic including the RCH thread.
I would even put a 5 year old in that post, 12 year old guys are much more mature than that!
And I'm from Germany, live an hour away from his home and always rooted for that guy....

CKK is ok, only a brused arm and hand. looks to be ok to defend his lead in the Dutch champ mx1 in 2 weeks. he is a rider for the hsf logistics gp team. but mx1 the team only rides adac and dutch championship

They get so pissy and go on the defense as soon as one negative thing is said.

Reminds me a lot of BMW fanboys.

Exactly Motodork- all these problems are because every one of these bikes were bought crated, and the owners didn't shell out an additional $500-600 bucks to have a highly trained tech uncrate their bike and bolt on the front wheel and handlebars!!!!
It's incredibly obvious!!!

So, we have come to the conclusion that while all the Japanese aluminum frames break completely in half, KTM frames don't break. And now we have come to the conclusion that 2016 KTM triple clamps don't break either but Solva's do.

Of course I am reading between the lines here.....Laughing

About those triple clamps, when was it decided that billet triples were better than forged triples?

Wasn't Roger D's a triple clamp failure as well? Went a little to thin and light on the works clamps I believe.
Yes but correct me if I'm wrong, his 370 Suzuki weighed only like 174 lbs. If I'm not mistaken,I'm sure there were plenty of other brittle parts on that bike, not just the triple clamps.
