I was standing along the fence right by the Gatorback finish line that day. I swear I felt the ground shake when Kehoe flat-landed that sucker. He easily sailed 3x the distance of MC.

Well Kehoe was twice as high. I was over by the start gate over a hundred feet away and could feel Kehoe bottom out.

I think I remember reading an interview where he said he got lucky and landed on the downside of a whoop and it wasn't that bad.

I was there that day. Standing in the area of the yellow circle. Yes he did land on the down side of a whoop but it still was a hard landing could feel it in my feet. It was an amazing sight to witness. Went on to Daytona bike week and the Daytona Supercros it was a great vacation!

I thought for sure the O'Mara referenced would have sparked a comment or two as this is a relatively unknown piece of history.
