Hey Guys,

I saw that Active Ride made a swappable cartridge for the WP forks on the ktm's but I can't seem to find them annnywhere. Also, anyone know if the SSS yzf forks can swap to the KTM at all??? I need to fix the forks somehow haha

Look up the kit on race techs website also. I believe they make a version of the SSS swap. Could be wrong though.

Check out thumper talk, there are quite a few guys who have done the swap.

Get ready to break out the check book though. Its not cheap!

So Merge Racing can put in Showa inserts, here's some info from them, "We only 10 sets of the 4CS parts made initially so they are a bit pricey at the moment. The Complete kit is $1,790 which includes valving and springs for you weight and ability.
The bladder style fork kit is $1,325 which includes valving and springs for you weight and ability."

I rode a set from them and they were really good!

Cory from protune suspension in Ohio can swap out the 4cs internals for KYB and I belive it was around $800. I almost went that route but found a good deal on cone valves...

Aren't the factory edition and 2016 forks quite different? Sad haha

sorry for the ignorance, but what are cone valves and are they less expensive than just a valve job or the same thing?

Exactly, they are the high end fork from WP.

I've searched almost all the options and weighed the pro and cons...Here's an estimated cost of options to improve KTMs forks:
Pro Circuit A-kit used: $5,000+
WP Cone Valves new: $2900-3500
WP Cone Valves used: $2000-$2500
Merge racing Showa inserts: $1800
Kreft fork mod: $1200(I think this price includes rear revalve)
Protune KYB inserts: $800-$1000?
Standard revlave(Factory connection, race tech, Enzo): $500ish?

Active Ride kit was actually an Enzo kit (Matt that owns Active is a buddy of Ross Maeda's). That kit was for the older bladder style fork and they haven't made one to use on the 4cs version.

TBT is doing it to my suspension on my 16 350. I'll report back when I get it back.

awesome, and yeah I plan to do a before/after too for whichever route I roll..I have about 25+ rides on the stock suspension now and have a pretty good perspective to see what changes with some valving and what not

Wow.

I knew it was pricey, but not that bad.

I've got the Ohlins inserts. Fucking excellent, so much better than stock and I believe a bit cheaper too. That and the shock, never felt such nice suspension. Sure there is more that can be done but I don't see how you couldn't feel great with them!

I got mine 2nd hand and cheap as chips... A grand for all of it.

Here's some fork inserts with hucks for 1250. You'd be able to try it and get your money back!

Or the full fork and shock for 2500, that's a deal. http://ktmtalk.com/pp_classifieds/showproduct.php?product=48894&cat=all

If you want to make a trip up to Sac, I have a buddy that has a shop that does all Race Tech work.

PM if you want to get more info.

You Should call Corey at Pro Tune 740-988-6673. He has several options available including the SSS swap. I went with a new Italian built base valve which has much tighter tolerances than the race tech stuff. I haven't had a chance to race with it yet but I have rode a few practice days on mx. If you consider SSS to be a 10 (which I do) this setup is just as good imo.

I rode an 2011 SXF350 with Öhlins TTX inserts. One of the best forks I have ever experienced.

I went with a new set of 48mm cone valve forks from Powerband racing and I was not disappointed! Really really good stuff . . . And about 3k dollars

I did not want to spend twice and there was a bunch of good reviews so I bit the bullet, no regrets

I have not had a chance to take any glamor shots yet but they do look pretty trick
