Put the engine in a 250SX chassis.

You sir, are a funny guy, and consistent; however, I'm beginning to think you really don't like KTMs.

Get new Ohlins front and rear, then swap the frame with a new one, that would work. You wont be able to get those boingers to stop boinging, or that frame from flexing (or not)in all the wrong places.

sooo i've got a 1999 KTM 300 and i recently was riding it on a motocross track and almost stacked it up a couple times. The bike is wicked fast but the suspension feels like a bunny rabbit could handle better...i was wondering if there was anything i could do to make it handle good enough to go fast on?
you might want to check the KTM 2 stroke forum on ']); _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-561000-1']); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview', '/outgoing/www.ktmtalk.com
']);" target="_blank">www.ktmtalk.com

Or

the KTM 2 stroke forum on thumpertalk.com, here is the direct link..good luck

One of the best bikes made, but not for the track. The 99 300 is even outdated for trail riding. The newer ones are great trail machines.
The 300 was never intended to be a MX bike.

You could, but it wouldn't be cost effective...get a 09 or newer 250sx and get the 300sx kit
