Alright guys, I need some info for those KTM riders out there. I am about to get a new KTM and I was wondering, what tools I need to be able to work on these things. Coming from a suzuki, I know they are a lot different. Socket sizes, or any other tools i might need would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
those are my most commonly used tools.
You get the KTM special tools in your took kit (Torxs, and 6mm socket ext.). 10mm T-Handle woks well with the new KTM's. You will want a "better" spoke wrench than the one you get in the kit. Also a good 13mm wrench will be handy for chain adjustments, otherwise a 1/2" wrench will work.
Check you spokes before you ride. One of our front spoke nips was finder tight with most of the threads showing, all the rest were good.
Accessing the air-filter is a breeze!
The above info comes from working on our 2014 450SXF.

Your regular tool kit will do. Yes the spoke wrench you get isn't much chop.. I recommend you go over all the bolts like you should on any bike.
