They were supposed to import a streetable version of the X-Bow several years ago but that fell through. I wonder if they'll ever actually attempt it.

The original KTM X-Bow has an Audi engine, i'm not sure about the GT4 though.

Im just waiting for the day KTM enters the SxS market. It's long overdue.
Very good point.. At this point they're pretty much got enough consumer brand loyalty to put their name on just about anything off-road related and the people would buy it..

Though their racing 4 wheeler didn't last too long..

Yes, it's still a 2.0T Audi engine in it.

I watched the race on CBS Sports last night and the announcers said that ANSA Motorsports in Miami was now the US importer. I know that KTM told us last year that the X-Bow now had its own factory in Germany.

Neither did the RC8 superbike.

Orange is a tough color to sell to the quad squad & biker boys I would think.

A KTM SXS along the lines of the YXZ with the 1290 engine in it would be both ridiculous and awesome.

The ATV they build was outstanding in stock trim, some minor mods and you could keep up with $30k built Hondas.

I miss mine!

Im glad they are.

And they still make tons of different road going bikes. So the branding exercise will be well worth it for them. Plus, for them I assume it's more than just branding. They genuinely seem to care about racing.

I was just commenting on the demographics that buy sport bikes and quads. Despite the quality & performance of KTM products, orange is a tough sell I would think to that customer base.

the X-Bow just about broke KTM they didn't sell 10 % of the cars they had done all there numbers on , they brought a carbon factory to make the parts etc but they could buy them cheaper than they could make them . its been around for a few years now

KTM is going forward with sport bikes. But quads and SXS are not currently in the works. They still have a working relationship with Polaris. WP makes radiators for Polaris. It would not suprise me that they have a gentlemans agreement. But they have told us at dealer meetings that currently there are no plans for those products.

The x-bow was a development project that Audi started. They gave it to Ktm and then when ktm got ready to sell a street version in the US Audi said no. Liability concerns it what they blamed it on.
