Does that bike have a custom tank to accomodate his massive balls?

Just goes to show how far rider technique has come, they could have done that back then, it wasn't the bikes holding them back as much as it was skill/technique.

As long as the frames would hold up..lol

Not taking anything away from the photo, but If you jump a very big and steep perfectly, (which we know K Dub can do), you shouldn't even need suspension. Suspension is mainly for when things don't go perfectly and little cushion is needed.....

We all know what happens if he comes up short or long with that pooch. I'm guessing he has long downhill of some sort for a landing.... But then again, that is one of the most talented motocross racers of all time, so what the heck do I know?

Just for the record: did he sideline Wilber in the whip contest? That's really the key question here...

I agree. Example: pull this "cross up" today and you will be called a goon

With the evolution of skill comes the evolutuon of tracks right?

Jumps back then wdre not manmade either. Just uneven mounds, these days everything is made specially.

Comparing different eras in any sport is pointless.

I can personnally attest to the fact that the frames on those bikes could not stand the strain KDub is subjecting that bike to for very long! I broke a 75' Bultaco Pursang (similiar to the one he is riding) in two, completely seperate pieces on the creek bed drop off at Lake Whitney. My Dad had to use a pair of wire cutters to cut the clutch/throttle cables so we could get the two pieces out. Ended up using a plate and weilding the frame back together and used it as a trail bike...

I think Windham has been seen burning a few laps on a couple other vintage bikes over the years. Maybe he will come out and give Cooper some competition on the old Buls.

He was going big on that thing. Once he realized the back brake didn't work and almost did a Ronnie Mac special soon after this was taken, he didn't hit that jump again. Just the fact that he did it once was quite impressive though. That thing was steep!

Agreed. One of my all time favorite riders. He has more skill and balls than the average 40 rider gate combined.

I first saw that in Racerhead, and my first thought was "photoshop"....

Shocking that he even tried, but not shocking (given his talent) that he made it look easy.

Saw him do this in person. Definitely one of the most insane things I have ever seen done on a Dirt Bike. The jump is a huge triple step up. Face is super steep almost resembles a quarter pipe. Here is a pic of a buddy and I hitting it to give you an idea

Damn that is a sweet pic!!! I still want to see someone clearing it on video!!
