35-17 and 14th in points. Has he just checked out after winning a regional 250 SX title? Because this is not good enough if he wants/expects a factory Kawasaki ride.

There are lots of upcoming free agents in the 450 class that i would pick before picking him for a factory 450 ride in 2018. Or will he stay down one more year?

I posted it in that Pro Circuit thread but I honestly feel winning that title made him complacent and feel like he's done his job. He's definitely better than the results he's getting so unless he's keeping something a secret I'm not sure what else it would be.

I've been wondering what's up with Hill myself. Might be an injury nobody knows about? Definitely uncharacteristic, he's a hard worker.

Not surprising to me, his outdoor results have been horrible the last few years. I was surprised though, when he ended up back at PC after some terrible years. Injuries were adding up, and he has never seemed to get it together for mx.

I would honestly think he maybe also has trust issues with that bike at the moment. They have had a lot of un-characteristic failures as of late

He's had a few top 5s, and that was coming back from injuries. Coming off the SX championship, I fully expected him to be challenging for wins

3 top 10s and not a single top 5. Not good enough.

Agreed.

He has never done very well outdoors and never will. He probably just doesn't want it bad enough.

Good thing for him they have sx, otherwise he would be out of pro racing in a few years. If he gets a single podium I would be shocked.

The way injury reports work in Professional MX the kid could be riding with a compound fracture of the tibia and the fans wouldn't know it unless we saw the bone sticking out. Instead of giving legitimate injury reports I guess the sponsors would prefer a underperforming rider is either on drugs, lazy, out of shape, unmotivated etc etc

My guest is that he has some nagging injury issues that are keeping his results down

That could be true. But unless camp Hill releases a statement(like Marvin/KTM did) that he is riding with an injury i will assume that he is relatively healthy and just under performing.

Yep and he wants that 450 ride. Gotta prove yourself outdoors too.

He better watch out or Nick Gaines will overtake him in points

I just looked at that. Damn, Nick Gaines has been really consistent in these first 4 rounds!

That is one of the best stories of this years outdoor. JG33 beasting around threatening for podium finishes.
