How cool is this? At the riders meeting in Washougal, Justin Brayton was awarded the RC Hard Charger Award for passing the most people in a moto at Millville -- 22 riders, two more than Reed after his big crash. As he stepped up to receive the award, Brayton took the microphone and said that while he appreciated the award, he thought Reed deserved it more and handed it over while the rest of the riders and crews applauded.

Not only is that amazing sportsmanship, it's a pretty damn cool thing for one rider to do for a competitor.

That's awesome to hear. There aren't many people out there that would do that these days.

Way cool.

I was hoping RD and RV would give props to CR while they were on the podium. Maybe they didn't get the full skinny of what Reed did after that big get off.

First, props to Justin! What a great move!

@ jt - I suspect you are right, that they hadn't heard the story yet.

From what i heard, one of the first things RD asked when coming off the track was if Chad was ok.

Nice. I don't doubt these guys have respect for each other, even if they're willing to knock each other off the track to win a race. They're all great athletes.

Yup. Chad mentioned it on The Pullpmx Show monday night that Ryan asked Goose about it right after the moto.

He said he thought Reed should get it, and we agreed, but Justin earned it by passing more guys than Chad did that day.... They both deserved something!

I am 95% positive RV and RD checked on CR after the race. I would be surprised if one had not checked on him. RV's eyes were glued on CR when he took flight.

Not there fault they were not asked on the podium or they were not filmed checking on him.
