When Josh switched to the 450 in 2008....he had to talk Yamaha into it right...?
I am pretty sure I remember that Josh went and bought a 450 and then brought it to the test track to show the team he could ride it better than his 250 cause they wanted him to stay on the small bike.

Can anyone confirm?

In 2008 I rode at Cahuilla with Hill and he was on the stock 450 he bought and told me that day he feels better on it than the 250 when I asked him about it. That was the first day I ever met him in person and have been a huge fan ever since. Not sure if that helps answer.

He said his amatuer bike that his dad built was faster and more reliable than his factory yamaha 250f. he was constantly blowing that factory bike up and having other mechanicals.

smart move IMO, he got his SX win on that 450.
