I think he deserves some credit, he's another one who has struggled with injury in his short career. It's also cool for Troy Lee, they haven't won too many SX mains. I guess riding with Barcia at MTF is helping him, he won with pressure all the way, that makes it all the more impressive.

Yes credit to him and good to see things coming good for him after the injuries. Even before he started posting top results you could see he clearly had the speed and what it takes to be where he is now.

That's funny, I was just about to get a Smith thread going. He was impressive and would not be denied. I'll be honest, don't know a whole lot about his career, but thanks to RacerX (incl. LL's) vault I have a better idea. Hope he continues to do well. Definitely going to watch that 250 race over again.

He rode great for the win. My opinion on his start is that he pissed a lot of people off. Yes, he had a wheel on Osborne and others but coming in on his angle and going across Osborne's front wheel and giving zero room for anybody on the different angle is a lack of respect or vision. I'm am 100% for aggressive riding and rubbing isnracing. But that gave Osborne zero places to go or options. 5min mark in the video https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=C5zb7N4nIZ4

He could have not cut across to the inside if he was not in front. He had a wheel on everyone. Still I think that was an unusual traverse to the first turn. Heck of a gate drop made it possible.

The points leader has been pretty aggressive all year, sometimes it comes back to bite you. I didn't think It was THAT bad. All of them are riding pretty aggressive right now.

I was happy to see the guy win, I would like to know what Savatgy had to say when he pulled up to him after the race.

Jordan fought like hell last night....and noting puts a smile on my face when a newer guy ( almost rookie status ) finally says " Enough! ".....I'm winning this freakin' race tonight!

Congrats to Jordan , and well deserved my man! Gotta be a big relief to know you got the first one taken care of. Know he knows what it takes , and I see quite a few more coming his way , now that the first one is done.

When you have a wheel on someone you Get to go where you want. Zach could have backed off. Jordan didn't cross jump anyone. All good from my perspective.

Personally not overly impressed. But plenty of other people enjoy the entertainment of it all. So that is ok.

Jordon did exactly what he was supposed to do on the start. He had a wheel up on the guys to the inside so he gets to choose where he goes. He's not going to back off and give Zach the position just because Osborne had a more inside gate pick. It's not like he punted anyone and he doesn't know what goes on behind him, because he's looking forward. He probably had no idea Zach was even there, because he can't see behind him, and he was focused and looking at the first turn. Every single start in Supercross and big gates in motocross always have rider getting pinched off by the guys who get the better starts.

Yeah, you could just as easily blame that first turn on AC or Alix as they were running it in hard on the inside. Neither Smith or those two guys expected to crunch Osborne in a wedge and leave him no where to go. Just racing.

Just the fact that he went to the LCQ, got a shit gate pick and then won makes it more impressive. He had no choice but to ride aggressively. Great job!

Smith rode great, aggressive when he needed to be - but not overly so.

He had the jump and a wheel going into the firdt turn. People expect him to just lay up a little and risk not getting a holeshot to keep other roders happy? Lol of every other roder was in his position on the start they wouldve done the same thing.

I thought savagty got to aggressive with him too soon before the finsh. He did all that, then left himself open after thte finish. Cmon be a little patient and wait for a spot that he cant retailate right back. Joey should watch some videos pf anderson from 2014. I think he won 3 races with last lap passes that year lol

I agree, huge turnaround this season. Always had speed but seemed to crash more often than not. Nice to see these guys get another chance on a top team, well done to TLD for getting him and well done to Jordon for turning his career around and getting the results his speed has always suggested he could achieve.

Great advert (along with what Osborne has been doing) of never giving up on your goals and why teams need to give young riders time to develop.

Anderson made those races fun to watch. It sucked to watch him do it to Seely all three times though. I was waiting for Seely to tee him up and give him some of his own medicine but it never happened.

Savatgy and Smith made this race exciting all the way down to the wire.

Not impressed at all. He took out half the field with an idiotic move that gave him a big gap. Not hard to win from there. He will be put to the ground by one of any 10-15 riders next week and deservedly so.

I actually saw it differently. He had to go to the LCQ which natrually left him with a bad gate pick on the outside. If you get a jump from the outside, you will be coming into the turn at a more skewed angle. It's just converging lines. He had the wheel and took the line. I see nothing wrong with it. I was mostly impressed with his racecraft. The kid didn't buckle, and when Savatgey made his pass, Smith was there to return the favor. The kid was having none of it last weekend. It was just a damn good ending to the race.

I expected him to win this year. He has the speed.

He learned his friend died after his win so his day went from Best Day to worst day.
