He's a brave man. Looks and sounds like a terribly underpowered bike.

I like the track, depending on durability it did fine for the price tag I'm sure...

A friend of mine bought an SSR pitbike for 600$. It was decent performance wise but after a day of riding so many parts were broken that there was really no point in trying to fix it. One expensive day of riding.

That's one fast motorcycle! I didn't notice him put his feet down in any of the corners.
By the way, does Willoh own any jerseys? Every video I've seen of him, he's wearing a hoodie.

How about a SR race of champions. Throw the top 20 on these, totally stock, and let the parts fly.

Just wait. China does not do short run and changes well, but once they get dialed in and mass production started they sell so cheap no one can compete. However, motorcycles are a moving target which China is not good at. The salesman said they are priced $4,000 below Honda. That's less than half the cost. Of course they have no development $$s to pay back as they only copy what's out there. But if they suck enough sales away from the big companies, the big companies will not have the development $$s to make better bikes every year either.
That's one reason we have no distributor yet. It seems the first thing distributors always say is "you know, we're going to have to make these Counter Sprocket Tools in China".

That's so they can prop them up on the showroom floor of your neighborhood autozone and sell them without a red sticker!

I would be shitting my pants when that thing locks up on a jump face, or the headstock peels off the frame upon landing haha

This thread made me think!

How come the USA can´t make a decent MX bike. I mean the Japanese can, small country´s in Europe like Austria, Sweden Spain and others also can.

USA is known for it's Hi-tech developments one could assume that it would be easy for them to build a decent MX bike.

Answer:
1)The Nihon people apply the Kaizen management principle, it is much more efficient than the competition in the long run
2)They have invested over 40 years of world leading development & they know a few more things about dirt bikes than any American company could learn overnight, let alone in 40 years.

Market isn't near big enough. No one except an overly passionate fan just looking to burn money would invest in such a thing. Brilliant engineers are everywhere and very capable of making something that can compete with the other OEMs in the short term, but the start-up costs for something like this are tremendous if you don't have personnel and manufacturing capabilities already in place. Certainly not near the payoff to justify it.

Cannondale MX440.

If there was a team of smart folks to try and compete with the Japanese it was Cannondale. I believe this was the last US made try at MX. If it would have worked out, you would probably have some of the lightest 4 strokes on the track made right here in the USA.

wait a minute, it was just a week or two ago I read on vital a bunch of people bitching the manufacturers need to make a low cost bike. Well there you go you want cheap, that is what you get. Actually that bike would be perfect for some I have seen in the D-class, but instead they buy an $8k 450 only to go out and roll most of the jumps. When they could have spent half and spent some of the left over on lessons from any of the ex pros doing schools now.

One tooth down on the back spocket and it would be competitive in stock form.
