I was reminiscing about the good old days last night and was wondering if anyone knows what Jeff Leisk has been up to. I remember him being right there with the big dogs of his era, but just missing grabbing titles. Is he still involved in moto. Seemed like he was a good dude.

I was a big fan of his when I was 12/14. He gave me his jersey at the Miami sx I think it was. He was close to titles and seemed like a really cool guy. Glad to know he is doing well.

Jeff has always been cool. Before he went to the US to race he did a couple of clinics in the late 70's early 80's at his farm and the local track (Noble Falls, commonly called BSA) which he lived near. One of the clinics i went to i won a CR80 in a raffle ha

Also had a couple of private lessons with him in 81 on my yz 80h (showing my age now)

Left an impression on this 20 year old at the time. He was warming up for the Nationals and came out to Sandhill Ranch in Northern California with Johnson, Ward, Lechien, Donny Schmitt , among others.

I got on the track and videotaped them all lap after lap coming through the same corner. Leisk knew where the throttle was on that '88 Factory CR. His RPM's were noticeably higher than Johnson's.

Johnson won that day, but Leisk and Lechien had a great battle. One of these days, I'll upload that video.
