Pretty good video on the opinions of the two riders. I didn't realize AMA were considering letting the 250 2t compete with 250 4t in 09.

That vid always annoyed me because Baker said how a 250f would be better but how he never rode a 250 2stroke haha. Jlaw knew what was up.

I ride a CR250 2t. Last week I ran a few track laps on my buddy's CRF250. I'm sure I was riding it wrong but what a dog in comparison... Couldn't wait to jump back on my bike!

Now this was a carbureted CRF250 so take it with a grain of salt... I would like to see them let the 2T's in with the 250f's. It could greatly benefit the privateers while factory teams can still pump out those ridiculously powerful/expensive 250F's.

But then factory teams could pump out ridiculously powerful 250 two-strokes.

TLD KTM, Rockstar Husky, and Star Racing could build insane 250 2T. The other manufactures would bitch and complain about not being fair; hence why it would never happen.

How about you can only race a 2 stroke in SX if you are from Canada?!!

Or like Australia you have to run a stock barrel and piston, no porting

it would be cool to see the dyno charts of a 2009 carburated 250 f overlaid with a 2017 dynochart. have the engines really gained torque and hp low to mid or is it only top end?

my brother had an 2016 rmz 250 and it felt anemic compred to my 2004 cr 250. i know the rmz only has 37 hp.

Man, I so wish the rule change had been applied for the pro classes as well. The riding style that comers with a two stroke is just so much more exciting and fun to watch since it does take more work to ride them at speed like that.
