Even before he won Anaheim 1 I could see a special rider. Very smooth and he waits for the right time to pass.

Very smooth? That is the last way I would describe Anderson. He had several sketchy moments last night that could have bit him.

His wild riding is the reason I do not see him as a serious contender for the title in the long haul.

I'm not sure I'd agree with very smooth, but he is super fast that's for sure. He's got more wins in him, but I think there's a few mistakes in there too. Will make for an exciting season

Romain Febvre wasn't smove and had some close calls at the beginning of the MXGP championship last year. But with confidence, he was just getting better every week till he was flying. Same thing could happen to Anderson.

He was riding very sketchy, almost threw it away many times. But it's fun to watch and I'm glad he got the job done. After watching how sketchy the was in practice/qualifying he was the last one I expected to win

I seem to remember a certain short redhead that had a bit of a wild style...

Too early to say whether he is the real deal for 2016, we have only had one race!

Usually the guy that is riding faster than everyone else is pushing it pretty hard. Easy to make a few mistakes when your pushing that hard.

And to think a few years ago he was sent home to re-evaluate if racing was in his heart.

Anderson is smart. Training with Aldon and riding with the champ, this kid is headed for success. At this level 90% is mental and 10% luck. Baker knows a thing or 2 about the mental part to mentor Anderson. Like his Hannah ish style also. Yes the season just started and hope its stays exciting with minimal injuries. Hope the Moose gets his strength back to join the top 10.

Bright future for this guy for sure. I hope he stays with Aldon and continues his program. I guess the rumors of him being faster than Dungey were true... Alteast that was the case lastnight, itll be interesting to see where he sits in a few rounds. Gonna be cool seeing a red plate on that white husky

History shows that A1 results hasn't meant much in recent years ...ask me again after 3-4 rounds and I will stick my head out more

If he were on Kawi you'd be getting a "2016 JA1" tattoo

I agree. After that race I can see him wadding it up before the season is over. Great racer and love to watch him ride.

Was talking about this in another thread...Seely effortlessly put those laps together. Props big time. Great ride for both riders.

How ironic that Seely would lead for almost 14 laps and get passed by Anderson at about lap 14/15.

Same as the old days when they battled in 250.

Ryan was catching Jason after passing Seely. You could see how close he got at the finish. 3 laps more and Ryan would have had him. Congrats for Jason, good ride.

Uh, didn't Jason pass Ryan earlier in the race...?

It's a great movie line...

A guy tells a story to someone that's got position like yours...one of those "obvious outcome" positions. The story goes on and the Zen Master always says...

"We'll see."
"We'll see."

That's my answer.
Is Jason the new "It" guy?
"We'll see."
