I think Honda gave him a bike to test before he was on Kawi. Factory bike I'm pretty sure

James Stewart was offered to ride the CR125 but he ultimately chose the Honda. It was a secret test and I believe Pete Fox from Fox Racing posted these photos to Instagram previously.

Yes, Pete Fox posted that a year or so ago.

Question: Was that the last Factory CR125 built by American Honda?

I am guessing he didn't think much of the Honda's factory suspension and chose to stay on the Kawi

Picture gets posted on Instagram, someone thinks they should share it with the vital crowd, someone sees it here and posts it on FB/Instagram/Twitter, someone sees that and posts it on vital. Wash, rinse, repeat.

The reason he didn't choose the Honda is summed up in his facial expression here

The gentleman representing Honda in this image is Dan Betley. Started at Team Greeen, worked as Stanton's mechanic at Honda, took a sabbatical from moto (was a Snap-On sales guy) and came back to Honda and ran the engine development programs for years. His current role is Team Manager for Honda now.

James Stewart just racing again would be cool. But he is probably enjoying being a new proud Dad even more along with his wife and family. There is life after racing moto...
