Jake is finally back riding, on a Team Tedder Kawasaki, after more than five months recovering from his crash with Canard in Detroit. Some interesting info about the extent of his injuries, and the anticipated new addition to the Weimer family, in this article. If everything comes together with his recovery he may race the MEC. He showed some promise in 2012 scoring a second place in Phoenix on the 450. I feel for the previous 250 Champs that never could make a great transition to the 450s and ultimately were out of a ride.

Just speaking from what I've seen in the past, when riders talk like he's talking, MEC is hoping optimistically. In all reality, it'll probably be A1 before we see Jake.

I'm a Jake Weimer fan. The dude is all heart and keeps his head down and humble at all times. The story about his dad's farm is probably the biggest show of what the dude is made of.

Great to see Jake back...and back on Team Tedder! I think this situation fits his personality much more than playing second banana to Villopoto was at Team Kawie. And, best of wishes & health for Nicole & the new baby!
