Congrats! That's a nice ride for him. He was earning it, has looked solid thus far.

What the hell? Team Tedder not have a contract? Personally I think it's a mistake ( unless the money is good and he didn't burn the Tedder's ). I was thinking he was looking pretty damn good on that Kawi.....hope he gel's with that Suzuki. Good luck either way Jake.

I could be wrong, (thinking back over a year ago) but I believe when the Tedder deal came about last year there was a clause in the contract that would let him leave if a fill-in ride became available.

I don't believe Tedder pays jake.
Jake has mentioned a few times he has an opt out clause.

I think Jake just enables Tedder more sources to pull from to help his son out.
Also, if you're gonna haul around a full team semi for your son, why not help out another rider.

That's awesome. Jake is on the upswing at last and this could get him to the next level.

He definitely deserves it. After seeing his career nearly come to an end last year, I'm glad that he's back on a factory bike. I hope he fits in well with that crew.

Not to bag on Tickle, but I think Weimer might be a slight upgrade.

Agreed. I hope he can adapt to the Suzuki, he was really starting to show good speed on the Kawasaki.

It's definetly a money thing and I can't blame him, I hope it pans out....

Jumped right past Josh Grant? I guess it does pay to be at the races instead of sitting at home

I see. Well that will be a cool deal then for Jake.

I saw his very first pro race btw. At the Rose garden at an AX race. He had turned 16yrs old like 2 days before. Cool to see him still in there mixing it up. Looks better now than he has the past few years.

Good for Jake. I hope he kills it. That Suzuki might suit him.

He'll be fine... Watch Jake ride and you can tell he has a ton of talent but he's had a ridiculous injury run and obviously needs confidence.

I'm stoked for him, think how good his life is right now, newly married, new baby, healthy, a few promising results and a new ride. About time he had some good luck, let's hope it rolls on!

Go Jake!!!!! And great job to Dakota Tedder making the main last week. If jake did anything there, He helped Dakota progress, and put himself in a great position for another ride.

I was going to say... I don't think Grant is even interested in racing SX.

Be really interesting to see if he improves or struggles on a new bike since he's been on the same one for his whole big bike career.

Hard to say since Tickle has been sidelined a bit, but he's actually been producing solid and improving results prior to going out.

Seems to me its a good thing RCH picked up a 3rd/fill-in rider, they have had at least 1 guy go out just about every season for the past few years. Seems like they really need to have a presence at the races to fulfill their sponsor obligations.

The Weimer/Canard crash happened right in front of me at the Detroit SX last year, it was nasty and I feared the worst for him. Goodluck to Jake good to see him comeback strong.

From Jakes interview on TWMX, "That was in my deal last year. If I were approached by a factory team or something then I would go for it. To be completely honest, though, I never actually signed a contract this year. It was never brought up and it never happened, so I wasn’t worried about it or anything like that. This year I didn’t have a contract with them, but last year I did. It’s always hard to break that kind of news to the people that have been so great and helping you, but they were good with it."

Its kind of interesting having two riders with different energy drink sponsors on the same team.

I wonder if JG33 takes notes or he is just plain over it already.
