"MXlarge: Cooper Webb has spoken of his respect for you, and that should be a nice battle in Charlotte next weekend. What is your opinion on it?
Herlings: I don’t know him, but when I see the guy, he is like me, he wants to win, he just wants to win, so we are similar in that. I think it’s going to be really interesting, I have a lot of respect for him and I think he is man enough and adult enough to know I have a championship on the line, so I think he will respect that. I have big respect for him, a supercross and motocross championship this year and a person like that will have enough brains to not do anything silly and hopefully we can both get a good start and just race head to head."

Make sure he exits Charlotte with more than 50 points over Seewer. That's what counts.
Then, perhaps take a few more risks at Glen Helen. But, of course, we'll have the "excuses" trogs turn up here shortly.
It would be interesting if he wrapped it up (and that's No forgone conclusion, he could axe himself at any time , as he has done so before) and debuted on the 450 at Glen Helen (his debut in MXGP) . I think that's what Cairoli (in a last round?) did many years ago, in 2008?????
And, for those that are still bleating about Herlings gesticulating to Prado (from the same source) :
" MXlarge: Jorge was at times a little ruthless in his blocking. I noticed when you passed him you made some sort of hand signal to him. What was that?
Herlings: I just points to my brain, I was 15 once as well, so I knew he was racing like living and dying situation and I could see he was getting tired and he was taking risk and going for the moto win. I know him really well and he has told me he is a big fan of mine, but I could see he was making a lot of mistakes, so I just told him to use his brain. I passed him, but then two turns later he passed me back, but I could see he was knackered, I mean he is only 15. I have had some serious accidents in my life, but I was also 15 once and I know how that is. On the finish line jump there was some serious deep ruts and he was just taking the risk there. I am at the point I have a championship on the line and as you get older you get really calm."
Yet, so many bleating about the hand gestures would tend to love things like Hannah 'flipping the bird' to Howerton, decades ago.
It's blokes just being in the heat of the moment, and reacting. It's not like they reached for a gun and blew the others brains out..........................
I'm no 'Fan Boi' of Herlings - he's often come across (to me) as a bit of a Twat ( Webb too) - well, most riders do at times. But shit, the 'butt hurt' that so many show over this fellow, really points to personal problems with the 'butt hurt' ones, I reckon. He's just a fast motorcycle rider, making a shit load of money - that's all.
The Shop
Webb respect? don't bet on it
Webb will ruin his own Moto if his Rick Flair comes out! He will shit can his own championship if revenge needs to be served on the spot etc...
Herlings has never raced a Rick Flair before
Rick Flair don't give a F
I'd be scared too
It's not like the GPs living in sandbaggers paradise , there is zero respect amongst these premier class animals!
And you obviously missed Bearuno's post a couple above yours with this tid bit in it

But nah ya prob right he's just a bitch and puss
Same here, I was actually quite happy that Herlings left yesterday with more than a 75 points lead.
That will make next week's racing much more exciting, with no excuse.
